Reviews for "The Sugar Claws: F.C."

My God, so beautiful...

The story in this comic is just as poetic as CoolJaw, and the art style is very well done. I'm SO glad that you didn't wait into October for this, but rather put it out as soon as October hit. I didn't really see the ending coming, but then again, I only saw the obvious letterings in the artwork. I'm going to watch through it again, just to find more secrets. Oh, one more thing... trilogy? PROMISE?!?

Celx-Requin responds:

Oh yeah the third part will come soon, hard to say when... I only have a rough draft of the script right now, but I'm gonna make a front page post soon detailing what my future plans are!

Thanks for the review!
Sincerely,
- Celx

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

this story was sad on how it was said. it had almost made me cry because i understand the horrible reality of this story.the placing in time ,the characters, the scenes, the hidden backstory!!!!!!!!!! i think this should have been written into a book series or a comic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very sad.

Celx-Requin responds:

If you liked this you should also check out my other comic,"Cooljaw: Dreaming Darkly".
But yeah I think if your going to spend a substantial amount of time working on a project it should at least make you're audience think.

Thanks for the review!
Sincerely,
- Celx

no words can discribe..

i know somone who actually had these problems without having a twin sister and such but i showed her this and she said that she still found it horrible to remember but still a beautifull piece because it shows the truth and helps people realise what some are going through...
so thank you for making this

Celx-Requin responds:

Actually I knew someone who was raped, the way she acted before being raped in contrast with the way she started acting after was a major factor in the creation of this story.

I hope your friend is able to move forward from what happened, and I'm glad she liked the story.

Sincerely,
- Celx

I'm tardy...

Sorry for this being super late but- This was amazing. (d'uh)
I honestly must say I did not see that coming.
The font is crystal clear, and everything is as disturbing as ever, even reread parts.
I noticed that Maple's look changed a little after the first comic.
Whether or not this was intentional it gives a good sense of the revealing of her character and what's behind the "curtain".
Secondly, I like the combinations of inspirations you put into this.
Lastly, fuckin' great work and can't wait to read the third installment of your series ;]

Celx-Requin responds:

Maple's apperance changes after the second comic, primaraly due to not having a wacom at my disposal for the first two chapters.

I'm a little sad this story didn't get more exposure, but I guess it was to be expected given the content, and style in which it was drawn.

The last story will be out next year and is animated (although you will still be able to read it as a comic book if you prefer).

Thanks for your review and sorry for the late response :p
things have been kinda crazy on my end...
