Hey dude, I can understand where u are coming from. 200,000 people are dead because of that decision. I know the US has their reasons for it, but there was no purpose to kill that many. You are good. Make more. I enjoyed it.

Hopefully, a formal apology will never be made. While your argument might be appropriate in a perfect world where the bombing was unprovoked, it falls short in reality. The behavior of the WWII (and prior) Japanese was unacceptable (empire building, mutilating and murdering millions of Chinese...). Not to mention, firebombing for any significant extent of time in place of the Little Boy would have caused a much higher death toll. The decision to drop the bomb in the context of the war was and still would be no less than completely appropriate. Perhaps giving the Japanese money after the war was one of our biggest mistakes, not because they've competed economically, but because retribution for their attack on the US was never made.

That was pretty good. Real emotional, and you conveyed your point well on how you feel that the U.S. had no power to drop those bombs on Japan. However, I personally agree w/the U.S.'s decision 57 years ago...Not b'c "Ooohh, they attacked Pearl Harbor, lets kill the Japs". I don't see it as a revenge thing. I also don't see it as some horrible incident that should have never happened because so many civilians die. The U.S. wasn't getting off on killing civilians...they were in the heat of a World War. Things have to be done. It may not have been the best thing to do, but they did it, and there is no changing it. The atomic bombs caused Japan to surrender shortly there after, so it seems like they succeded in purpose...that purpose being to win the war. RIP civilians, yes, but reckognize what the country was going thru at the time. I'm done. Good job is all I really wanted to say. Peace...
