Reviews for "Super Zombie World Part 1"

Interesting.

I'm not gonna lie... I liked it. It featured some of my friends as voice actors, which was a plus... but let's talk about the movie.

Yes, the idea HAS been done before, but you managed to make it work. In terms of animation, some of it was good and some of it was just sloppy. For example, your growing and skewing tweens are a little bit too slow. Especially for Bill Board (think I got that right), which needs to be skewed to fit his talking more. I do that kind of thing all the time and it isn't too time consuming, so you should try doing it.

Some other movements were a bit too slow too, but again, a lot of the animation was pretty good; that being the parts that didn't need ease. So here's a big note. You HAVE to start using EASE in your tweens. If you don't know what that is, then PM me or something and I'll tell you. It makes all the difference and makes sprite movies much more visually appealing. It would help in lipsyncing too, though you did really good with that anyway, especially the goomba.

So in conclusion, I like this movie. Just make sure to use ease in your tweens next time (if you are doing this, then use more because I didn't notice it at all). I came up with this Flash idea once actually, but I never did it because it had been done before. That didn't stop you though, and you did a pretty good job. Sometimes originality doesn't matter to me, if it's a good idea that is. Keep up the good work.

(P.S. If you haven't seen this idea done before, watch Bowser's Kingdom: Eps 666 and Left 4 Dead Bros.)

MurderMysteryMan responds:

I appreciate the analysis. And yeah, it has been done before. Bowser's Kingdom started the zombie idea, but I kinda wanted to complete it. And Left 4 Dead Bros. just beat me to it :P

pretty good.

i do however agree there wasn't that good voice acting, and the action scenes aren't madness quality. I like the idea alot

MurderMysteryMan responds:

Okay, thanks :)

I instantly watch any zombie related flash:

Well, for the story, pretty much what can happen in a Zombie Apocalypse, except that they got to "safety" too fast, would of liked some parodies on a Mushroom Kingdom Supermarket, to get some supplies, for example.

For graphics, well, its a SPRITE MOVIE. So it doesn't matter. Though when they were outside the safehouse and walking to the plane, the sprites looked weird when walking, like with Bowser, he was moonwalking. By the way, something that isn't really an issue, you should of maked the character been more noticeable when talking, you can barely see their mouths move. Maybe for the color of them.

Also some subtitles would of been nice. I can't really understand what they were saying at times =|

(BTW, it didn't lag for me, just turned down the quality)

Still, expect to see more. :3

MurderMysteryMan responds:

Okay. Thank you for your critique. :)

Well

It was a good movie, a good plot idea that I enjoyed. The only thing I really had a problem with was:

Voice: Those voice actors arent that great, honestly. I dont want to say they're bad, they just dont fit the characters they are voicing.

MurderMysteryMan responds:

Okay, thanks :)

a little disapointing

this was a really awesome idea, but i think the delivery needs some work. in a zombie apocolypse film, there's supposed to be an excessive amount of violence. you really didnt appeal to that; there was just 2 quick scenes of zombie attacks. the first one, ok, fine, its just the beginning, and its supposed to give you a taste of what's to come, but i was really disappointed with the giant piranha plant. that fight should have been longer.

it also seemed to drag between the fight scenes. i get that you're doing the whole planning and survival thing, but i was falling asleep. i almost closed the browser. might have something to do with mario's voice; he is very monotonous. i did like the segway into the next part, i hope you liven up the 2nd one.

MurderMysteryMan responds:

Okay. Thanks
