the videogame machinarium was a great inspiration to me on that part. if you havent played that game... do so, its a modern click and point puzzle game on pc & mac and one of the best of its kind.
i would have been more impressed...
it would have had a deeper meaning if they fell inlove insted of war....

I never ruled that out ^^ the two collide, sure. but it was kindof my intent for it to be unclear if this was truly a fight or if it was an embrace, i must admit the music does create a more treathening effect but it's realy how you look at it,
You see what i realy wanted is to have a duality not only in the characters apearance and so on, but also their motives. i wanted the whole thing to float somewhere between love or hate. Thats also why is chose the colour red for the flower. because red symbolises both love and anger.
The reason why the planet is consumed by the flowers near the end is becuase i firmly believe that there are two things that can truly create a new world... one being unconditional love and respects for all living creatures....the other being complete and utter obliteration.
I hope this awnsers some questions for you lot ^^
Hmm quite an interesting concept
Your style of animation reminds me of quite early David Firth work (also on newgrounds) and the storyline is simplistic yet is also quite entertaining. in short, i like it and i hope to see some more of your abstract work very soon.

funny you should say so. David Firth is definatly a inspiration, but i don't realy recognise that much of his style in my own work. I'd love to do some creepy salad finger-esque work in the future, but i think right now my teachers would banish me from the school and burn me at the stake :p ... i don't have the feeling they like being freaked out that much.

Amazing piece, with lots of personality, only...
I suffer from a slow connection and dislike the lack of a preloader, as it forced me to have to reload the page to view such a large animation and watch the movie several times as it would freeze at loading points and not continue. If you submit another movie, please include a preloader.
