Reviews for "Cursed Treasure"

Interesting twist on tower defenders...

Love that the towers gain experience.
Graphics have final polish.
Sounds FX great - although the 'fear' sound and something sounding like a dove noise became repetitive and annoying after a while.

Had to knock a couple of points off, as after a while some bugs began to ruin the game. The worst was the Demon skill 'Return Portal'. Sometimes the timer wouldn't count down. Other times, the gem would return, but only visually - the next mob through could pick up the gem from where it ported from.

Would love to have some shortcut keys other than just SHIFT.
ie. 1, 2 and 3 for the different spells. Q - attack, E - fast/slow.

It gets boring

The longer the game gets going
the boredom increases.

Good and bad

This is a nice twist with a TD game where you can also level up. A like it as it gives the game a bit more replayability even after one has finished it.

What I'm really writing the review for is that, as mentioned by all other reviewers, the ninjas are way too overpowered. I mean come on, not only are they the fastest? One of the fastest units in the game but they can also turn invisible too? How is this fair at all? The ninja boss goes invisible right at the entrance, grabs a gem then reappears as he's about to exit. If there was a tower or even an upgrade(which would be so unfair at early levels even if there was) that could help you spot ninjas, it wouldn't be so unbalanced but hell, the times I lose, it's always the ninjas.

This would have been a 10 but I'm giving it a 7 because it impossible to get excellent anymore at the latter stages when the place is swarming with ninjas on hyperspeed.

Well you've heard the complaints.

Imbalanced towers, horribly overpowered Ninjas and all that.

But my main complaint is the distinction between "Excellent" and "Brilliant". Even using the Return Portal skill, if an enemy even touches a gem, you are barred from getting "Brilliant" on that level.

It seems like the Return Portal skill doesn't properly reset the gem to home. Even though it appears there, the game still counts it as stolen.

Entertaining TD, but the towers need more balance, and the Ninja needs a weakness (very low hp?).

Fun, for a while

I liked it a lot. Kind of just another tower game, albeit a really, really good one.

That said, I'm with deathofself: those ninjas were ANNOYING, and I don't mean video-game-annoying, I mean annoying-annoying. I mean, like, I'm-going-hunt-you-down-and-snap-your -neck-annoying. Fix that if you want to live.
