I wasn't expecting this!

Well, I had no idea there was going to be a sequel to the original great game! I was impressed at the designs of the different enemies, especially those annoying little green things. Sure it doesn't give you medals, but that's no reason to have it be so much lower than the previous entry. My biggest complaint was that it was too hard at times. I couldn't believe it was casual at one point with the sheer number of crazy things going on! Anyway, the action and weapons (well, attack styles) were as good as ever.

Wow, Just Wow. (Mocking Zenzy)

I generally liked the game, and I had the most epic ending evar, last life, last credit, last hit on me, and I managed to beat the last boss. I didn't encounter a shuriken transformation until the last boss, then a laser one hit me and turned me out of it. A little spammy on the missles and bullets, but did okay. I won't say the game sucked, but had it's down side. one being, already mentioned, a little excessive on the projectiles, espiacially before the final boss and during it. I had to do some pretty fancy mouse work to barely survive that. The other, being that id you die, you lose all your power up, It wouldn't be much of a problem, if I didn't die as much due to the spammy projectile thing, but i did and had to restock on it. basically, a good game, but like all games, has it's share of flaws.

Casual mode -----> beaten!
Expert mode------->beaten!

After reading all the reviews (yes, I actually did) I thought it would be one of those nearly impossible to beat games with a superhigh frustation level but I played it twice.......... and I won, yeah thats right I only played it two times, 1 on casual (1 credit left) & 1 on expert (0 credits left), I didn't get a perfect score with 0 deaths but I did beat the game twice.

Maybe I have great skills (but I REALLY doubt it) or all that bad reviews I have read are from people that don't have the patience to play through the entire game, it IS a hard game indeed but it is a beatable one and that makes it a good game for me because it challenges your gaming skills and makes you improve

Ok!! let's review this game!

Graphics 10/10. I really liked the style it's simple but fits the game very well.

Sound 8/10. It's ok but kind of repetitive and at some points there is so much noise from the explosions that you have to turn down the volume.

Gameplay 9/10. Simple and effective, I didn't experienced any lag and the character did just what I wanted, also I really liked the first boss battle, very original, but I didn't feel any innovation to the genre, it's the classic dodge & shoot game with powerups but maybe thats the point of the game........anyway I enjoyed it and I think it's a very GOOD game!

Programming 9/10. The game is ok, the character follows the mouse perfectly and shoots when you click the mouse. The collision it's amazing I even passed between 2 missiles with ease and dodged nearly every bullet that I could see, -1 because sometimes when you do the special attack you can die, for example when you activate the blue laser with the spikes around you, you are supposedly invincible but there were so many enemies that I ended up dying.

FINAL SCORE!!! 9/10
Good game! beats the original.

I used to play the r-type games and Darious Twin when I was younger; This is very much like that and I found it very enjoyable.

damn that was hard

ahahaha damn that was hard XD i beat it in one go, but DAMN it was hard, one of the hardest games i played on newgrounds. i loved it, please make a 3e one ( but not harder then this one becaus i may scratch my eyes out in anger)
