off the games Ive played by you I think this far and away outstrips the rest.. yes its cheesy and ridiculous and impossoble (for my limited gaming skills anyway) to not die regularly! but these kind of games are supposed to be like that... a true old school feeling classic :)

You can hit enemies all around you with the max charge attack of any type. Early on when you have to use red, be sure to get them above or below as much as possible so you can clip them with the fire wings. This can easily take care of enemies on the left side if you don't mess it up. :D
If you grab a type change that's the same as your color, it counts as a powerup.
The white powerup doesn't appear often but HANG ONTO IT once you get it. The charge attacks are ridiculously brutal. You think it shoots larger rockets? Nope. Shoots larger ROCKS.
Level three charge attacks can absorb bullets.

epic old school fun
freaking hard...which makes it so much fun. love the fast pace, the weapon upgrades were great. often i found there was literally no chance to dodge getting hit which sometimes sucked...especially on the bosses. fun as hell though.
