Reviews for "Chromium"

Rip-off

Good, but I'd say the same for Ghosts of Hell. And seeing as that was made first, and this is virtually the same, I'd give this a lower score for essentially being a ripoff.

But everything else is fine.

ChromeShark responds:

Originally it was intended as a sequel, but most of the engine was remade completely to allow for the new effects and features. I don't really think it can be called a 'rip-off' when I made the previous one myself too, and I personally feel that this is more of a step forwards than the majority of Flash game sequels on Newgrounds.

what I thought.

positive:
1. contrary to most of the reviews, I thought that the artistic concept was pretty good.
2. easy to control and overall playable.

Negative:
1. absolutely no replay value
2. was too easy and got boring after a while
3. The music was obnoxios and didn't fit the game at all. At leas have a mute button and better sound effects.

The way I see it, there are tons of things you could've done to make the game better, such as change the music.

ChromeShark responds:

Response to the music has mostly been very good, also there is a mute button (though this turns off the SFX too, maybe you meant a separate one just for the music). I'll keep your comments in mind.

Its just like a reincarnated version of...

BUBBLE TANKS! ill give it a 3 cuz the graphics are nice. And by the way the in the tutorial pop ups in the bottom right of the screen its blast radius well the correct term would be blast circumference or something like that but blast radius would sound much cooler. Please improve this

ChromeShark responds:

Chain Radius is supposed to be a play on words of Blast Radius, its not a mistake. I see the similarity to Bubble Tanks but there's probably 50 other Flash games that are more similar, top-down shooters aren't uncommon.

If by "artistic"...

You mean lagging visuals, poorly designed menus and epic music? Then this is very artistic.

The trouble is, I don't think that's what anyone defines as artistic.

"constantly changing artwork."?

Artistic? Joke?
