Reviews for "Chromium"

Very good.

Nice game, good power-ups, and good enemy variation. My main issue is that it seems rather hard to die without actively trying to, and I wonder if the health bar resets after every level up. Though, considering the difficulty of some later enemy swarms and the bosses that appear every 5 levels, that might be called for.
Either way, great game, good execution, and good choice of music.

ChromeShark responds:

The health bar doesn't reset on level-ups, but you get a sheild so you get time to heal a bit. Admittedly it can be a bit harsh later on but I wanted the game to be on the challenging side, though I did lower the difficulty a bit during beta testing (and added Ultra hard mode for people who still wanted the insane difficulty level). Thanks for the review!

Didn't play long

Would be more fun with upgrades, or permanent power-ups.
The same shit over and over again isn't fun to me.
Good game though.

ChromeShark responds:

Upgrades are coming up a lot in the reviews but what I was going for here was continuous, fluid gameplay, which upgrading would have detracted from. Permanent powerups could've worked though and are something I'll keep in mind. Thanks for the review.

Pretty nifty

i liked this a lot, but i found it really hard to play on my laptop, which is completely understandable. When I played it later with a mouse instead of the touch pad, i loved it. The soundtrack is absolutely wonderful. The designs get really interesting too.

Epic Music is Epic.

kudos to using awesome music, most games like this use annoying techo/remix songs and it gets on my last fucking nerve.

I played through to the very end, the boss monsters were cool.

Entertaining but...

Repetitive. Sure it's a challenge as the game goes along but it's still more of the same thing over and over again. Upgrades add change and something continually new to a game. Well done otherwise.
