Reviews for "Agony: The Portal"

Not bad at all

Story : Nice, nothing to complain about. 8/10

Graphics : Not bad, not perfect, but i've seen worst. Just a little thing about them.. I would have prefered human opponents than these strange blue things.. 8/10

Gameplay : Classic, but not very easy to handle in some situations (for exemple, to heal and keep fighting at the same time). 6/10

Sound : Simply perfect. Love the epic music, the cruel laugh, very enjoyable soundtrack. 9.5/10

Other things : The upgrade system can be more exploited, and it's a shame that we have to pay money for some items, but I can't understand it after all.

Average : 7.5/10 A fun game to kill time.. and people. :)

preety good

Decent variety of enemies, good background music, cool combat moves....
Overal its a preety good time killer just need to get shop fixed

this is one of my faves

this game is the bomb i dont know why peopol think its so bad when its so good if you peopol think this game sucks go then your wrong this game is number 1

I understand BUT...

As a developer myself, I understand what you tried to do but I think you did it the wrong way. You sacrified your game's reputation for money from the players. I can't understand how you failed to find a decent sponsor and an ad revenue component that would give you money for your hard work. By putting a pay-for feature in the game, you're sure to piss people off and they will simply stop playing the game forever and give you bad publicity. Even if the items are not necessery, they're there, people want them for free and they'll be pissed if they can't have it. maybe it's just a matter of presentation but in an RPG, items to buy if you have any, should be part of the basic package. I haven't played for a very long time so I'm sorry if I'm wrong on some part. The game itself was alright, graphics were okay, gameplay wasn't very varied. The menus were indeed confusing. But still a good job on a complete game. It's too bad paid-for features aren't very popular around here....and probably never will, it's not what newgrounds is about. Good luck with your future projects.

hmmmmm...

Well it is a addicting RPG brawler but there are still things needed (as always lol). Anyhow whats with this buy with real money thing? are you trying to make a free MMORPG? kinda wrong spot to put that in y'know.

the combat was great but it got boring when you just walk up to them and use the same weapon constantly... not even a change of weapon (like a sword or a staff or a bow). The armours were nice but so few pickups (let alone letting you know what you can pick up in game not after a fight). The things you fight in the game they don't really match up to a challenge (unless amassed) why isnt this necromancer fighting humans instead of these little pathetic creatures?

now to the level up stuff. It's not the best but it could be better? i would think on normal mode (which ive played only for 2 days) the spell points should double per 10 levels? the stat increase points is ok... but kinda gives you too much to start with for the start of the game.

overall 9/10: the pay by buy thing killed the enjoyment of a RPG that actually WAS good
