I think it ruins the game that you have to spend real money to play it to its full. The very least you could have done is make monsters drop coins every once in a while. On the subject of ad revenue, ads also work in sites other than Newgrounds. By the way, great game! I hope to see more from you guys.
By the way, to get coins, you don't have to spend real money. You can alternatively take surveys and get the coins for free. Just try it out.

overall design its a very good game in every aspect,
however im not sure if its okay to prompt users to buy game items with real money, i smell some scam here
We understand your concerns but from our point of view, development of this type of game is impossible with ad revenue only. Development took about half a year.
And it's just about 5cent/item in the beginning. Coins can even be gained for free by taking surveys/offers in Heyzap. You don't really have to spend bucks.

Wouldn't let me play. It said I could only on newgrounds which is what I'm on. It looked like a good game too...
