Very nice platformer.

I usually don't play much platformers and I am not so good at them, but this one is really good. I like the retro graphics, the music is really good, the story seems interesting and to be able to change the difficulty level was nice.

I have only played through the game at beginner yet, and I am going to try intermediate as soon as I have time.

And I haven't found a single bug, so I don't have much bad to say about the game, but there are some changes that I think could be made. Spikes shouldn't damage if touched from the side, was a little annoying at some places when I jumped too low and went into spikes from the side and got damaged, but not a big problem. And more challenges with the enemies would be nice, since most of the challenge in the game was spike and platform jumping.

Was a really good retro-style platformer, and im looking forward to episode 2 and Mardek 3. :)

damn this is a great game, I particulary like the personality of your character and the way he realises that he's doing really generic stuff, the action was solid and fluid and I can't wait for Ep 2.

Reminds me...

of those old jump'n'runs I played on the SNES. You can see that you put a great effort in this game. I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes. Maybe you could even put all episodes together in one single executable exe.

Wow.

Extremely well done! I was very impressed by everything, including the sprites, the storyline, the music, the gameplay, and the controls! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves old platformers; I just wish I had a SNES controller to play it with!

And the author isn't lying when he states that it's challenging. Be prepared for rough waters after the purple checkpoint, and prepare to die when you meet the boss.

I can't wait for the next installment!
