Reviews for "Raider: Episode 1"

Too damn hard.

There's a reason Platform Hell games stopped selling - and consequently, stopped being made.

Even on easy mode, this game is way too freaking hard. People play video games to relieve stress and have fun. Now, the leading cause of stress is a thing called FRUSTRATION, which games like this cause in abundance, and thus, they quickly stop being games and start being something you beat your head against.

Pseudolonewolf responds:

All people apparently don't play all games for one single purpose. I doubt I'll ever come across anyone who plays the old NES Megaman games 'to relieve stress', for example.
Some people play games to prove that they can beat them, for bragging rights and for the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a difficult task, rather than to relieve stress.

There are plenty of Flash games that you can breeze through without any effort out there, but that doesn't mean that ALL of them should be like that. I mean, if they all are, then what about the people who want a difficult challenge? Should they not get games made for them because some people think that all games should be easy stress relievers?

You have a choice about what games you play, and this one was clearly advertised as being hard as one of its main focuses. It would be easier to simply ignore the games you don't like instead of speaking as if they should never have been made at all; the world does not revolve around your personal tastes.

Also, it is very offensive to say that my hard work is worth a mark of 0 because you're bad at it.

Too hard!

Need to fix room 1_25 so that it is actually possible!

Pseudolonewolf responds:

Yes, I should have noticed something those hundreds of times I playtested it, when I couldn't get past that bit and didn't know why. If only I was more observant.
