Reviews for "Raider: Episode 1"

sigh

this could have been a great game if it didn't have the same kind of difficulty that mega man has. tone down the levels because seriously WTF? maybe I'm being a black sheep around here but i seriously hate it when i play an internet game that kicks my ass 70 times over.

Pseudolonewolf responds:

Apparently some people LIKE the Megaman-esque difficulty.
There are plenty of simpler platformers out there; this just doesn't happen to be one of them, because it's aimed at the people (probably a minority) who like things difficult.

Love your work!

Very very nice. Im a big fan of the mardek series and this one seems to be fairly good as well. Both games are amazingly fun.

Oh, fond memories...

Love the graphics and sounds and you're right: It's an old-school platformer. I'm not that old but I still remember playing games exactly like that on the SNES or Gameboy when I was a little kid.

The only thing I found a bit irritating was the use of 'A' for jump. Would've been better to use the arrow key in my opinion.

5/5, 9/10

Pseudolonewolf responds:

I would be surprised if you ever played a platformer on the SNES or Gameboy that used the up arrow to jump rather than one of the other 'action buttons'... I find using up for jump to be very awkward and sort of 'amateur', since I've never played a professional game that uses it.

Great Game

Its kinda oldschool platformer, really good, reminds me of classics like Megaman. =P
Nice platformer game!

It's a shame you stopped doing Mardek...

Pseudolonewolf responds:

I haven't stopped doing MARDEK; in fact, I'm working on Chapter 3 this very minute!
It's just taking a stupidly long time since it's a massive project, so I've also been doing smaller things like this for the sake of income and variety.

Ah man!

I was planning the same as you did, classic episode like game. You did a very nice job.

Cheers
