Reviews for "Haven't Got A Prayer, pt2"

I agree with what hes saying

It all makes sense, hes only saying what is actually happening and wow god really wants you to say "have fun suckin dicks in hell."

Slackman responds:

Thanks. No worries about the "suckin dicks in hell" guy, I just consider things like that to support my point. Religion is leaning towards being more about condemning those with differing beliefs to oneself rather than love and peace. Go figure, right?

To a job... done

This was a terrible satire, riding mainly on the shock humor of making Jesus kill himself, which, in itself, I don't see what it is supposed to parody about Catholics. The only bit of Catholic satire I saw was taking a shot at the pro-life aspect. Tip for you Scott, read some actual satires (I recommend the Roman Satirist Juvenal) to learn how one should be written (or in this case animated). Also, do some research about the Church before you deride it, because you actually lowered your satire to an Ad Hominem attack on Christianity. You get a 3 for decent animation.

Slackman responds:

Jesus originally died for people's sins. In this short, he does the same, although the sins are more modern. It's meant to satirize the absolutist, oppressive rules of Catholicism as well as some of its more hypocritical and hateful tendencies. Pro-life, worshipping symbols of death, homophobic and violent behaviors are all targeted here.

I guess I'll have to check out some of Juvenal's work, but in return I urge you to look at more modern satires. My work mixes dark humor with satire in order to create something kinda new. Look at South Park for example.

Anyway, thanks for the review.

offensive

offensively kickass

Slackman responds:

Thanks!

Pretty good

I thought it was good voices need a little work and the bathroom scene did not quite seem funny enough, but overall great.

Slackman responds:

Yeah, I should be improving the audio within the next day or two. Sorry you didn't like the bathroom scene, I had to cut it down a bit. Glad you liked it though!

I'm sorry Scott...

I enjoyed the animation, as a cold hearted athiest who says "what seems most logically proven is what I believe" and the only thing I'm sure of is that this is that THIS sentence is the only thing I'm sure of. (There's a peice of philosophical shit right there) I think that the animation is a funny look at religion.

People seem to think this is an animations AGAINST religion, but I see this as more of an animation pointing out some of the flawed things people choose to believe about religion... this being the case you must also consider that there is some grotesc actions taken by a religious figure that were completely undignified in this animation, but that's part of the shock satire of the animation... its SUPPOSE to shock and somewhat offend you, and because of that you shouldn't take it seriously.

If you can't be bothered reading this all and want a quick summery, to those giving this a low rating purely out of offence, lighten up! It's not a direct attack on religion, it just raises some issues about what people choose to believe about catholism. DON'T BE A PRICK.

Slackman responds:

Well put. As stated, this is not an animation against religion, but rather it's against the more oppressive, hateful and hypocritical elements that have spawned from religion. Hate in the name of religion is still hate.

I'm glad you got it!
