Reviews for "OLD MoBS EP1"

very unique

and also very funny I enjoyed it. Some of the timing is off and there are places where after a someone says something there is about 3 to 5 seconds of waiting before it shows another scene. Great work on this though, very cool.

tacobuttfish responds:

Yeah, someone else mentioned that as well, I'm sorry for that and promise to correct this issue for Episode 2... Thanks for the good score and we're thrilled you enjoyed it!

Ill have what hes having

Have my brain just exploded into rainbows

tacobuttfish responds:

Brain explosion from rainbows? That sounds good!

-Taco Buttfish.

I would suggest you remake this

The timing and audio need a lot of work, especially the timing, there was a delay after almost every line, made it very tedious to watch. you get a 7 for potential. but yeah, the pace is way to slow and delayed for such a long movie
the 7 is for how awesome the sudoku scene was, kick ass.

tacobuttfish responds:

Once again, we are still fairly new to the animation stuff and more use to comics and manga which timing works so much differently. But we're improving and I think you'll agree on Episode 2 that we're nailing it! Glad you enjoyed that Sudoku scene, it's our fave scene from the episode

What the fuck did I just watch.

Ill break it down simply.

Animation : 5/10
Sound : 6/10
Story : 9/10

Over-all WTF factor: 13/10

Rounding up you get 8/10.

Thank you for this crazy animation, and Ill be waiting fro the next episode.

tacobuttfish responds:

Hey, we'll see you then, and we'll get those scores up when it comes out! Glad you enjoyed it overall though!

what. the. fuck.

Here's the deal: The animation looks like the artist has been drawing stills all their life. The animator needs to work on his stuff, and help direct the artist as to what frames would work for a full "movement" in the flash. Maybe the animator and artist are the same person, whatever, the point is, is that I like the art style, but work needs to be put into bringing it to life.

Next, the plot/setting. That was the wtf bit mentioned above. It was all so ridiculous, but it seemed to be taken so seriously. Perhaps this was intentional, but I found myself wanting to laugh at a punchline about how ridiculous it all was, and one a few came. Something that can really bring this through (if comedy was your intent) is the voice actors being just a little bit more silly. Plus, the sound was a little scratchy.

All in all, I found it to be a fun piece that I can tell a lot of hard work went into. I look forward to the second episode.

P.S. was that the grandfather at the end? Because if so, you may have wanted to make it more obvious (I wasn't sure). Unless the point is to make people wonder, in which case, A+

tacobuttfish responds:

Thanks! And yes, we have been making comics/mangas our entire lives, and the animation world is still fairly new to everyone here at the team, but with each flash our skills get better at both the program and the understanding of cartoon movement with animation. Soon, it will be perfected! And no, the guy at the end is not the grandfather but I'm glad your piecing things together. Episode 2 will shed the light on this character in all of his glory! Thanks for watching, and yes, we did intend for viewers to ponder who this guy is.
