Interesting, but flawed
A game as complex as this is going to be very difficult to get 100% perfect, and unfortunately this particular game falls short.
The movement of a 'threatened' piece often only happens if you refuse to take other pieces or complete the level how IT wants you to, for what in theory should be very non linear completion the scripting makes it follow a very linear pattern on some levels.
Needed more puzzling
Great game. It was really fun to play and getting to use the different move sets of the pieces was fun. I was always looking for cool ways to make use of them. I felt like sometimes though, all there was to it was for a piece to randomly move into my killing area. It felt a little cheap. I would have liked to have seen more movement based puzzles.
Also, Level 15 is pretty tough unless you make good use of the King's movement set. Try it out, you'll get it.
Was fun till lvl. 15
Pretty fun game. I love chess personally and was enjoying it till lvl 15. The king protects the rook and pawn and the rook protects the king. I tried to get any of the pieces to move in response to being threatened but to no avail. Not sure if it's a bug or I'm just missing something, but an explaination would be nice. Otherwise good job.
not bad
kinda liked it but got bored after a while. I liked the concept tho.
bug
fun but problem: when you beat a level and the menu pops up if you select "level select" it takes you to the level selection screen but with the level you just beat still locked. so you have to beat it again.
