Reviews for "TakeTwo - Beginning"

It was pretty bland :\

Wel i liked the graphics, but it was really just a guy rambling on about video games no one cares about :(

I really liked the feature to skip around the flash, it is very helpful along with the stop and play button next to it.

I also liked the intro more than the actual movie i think, which isn't a good thing but it sorta is.

This shows you can do better then what you did. For your next animation, just put more animation in it, less talking.

Overall: Nice flash

Interesting

I always find history of things like this interesting, and everything was pretty clean and nice. One thing you should know is near the end the little movement of the head to show it is speaking randomly stops. Other than that, I think this is cool but I don't know if it is the kind of thing a place like NGs is going to appreciate.

for what it was it was okay

hardly an animation though! the mouth moved... and there was a slideshow in a little box. fantastic.

I mean, yeah, there was the history, which was interesting.. but.. there are so many incredibly more creative ways of like, showing it.

I'm biased because I like watching things move... and I'm not really into video games A LOT (which is pretty shocking for a modern day newgrounds kid) so I guess thats partially why I wasn't super into it.

make it move more. thats the main thing :)

Well

The more you know...

...the cooler you are when playing Dungeons and Dragons.

was okay

Not very entertaining, but it did give a breif overview into the history of video gaming for those wanted some info. A 6 out of 10 because not many people acctually mention the magnavox (let alone tennis for two) and usually just jump towards the Atari VCS as the granfather of video games. So congrats on getting fact right!

However, after you mentioned PONG in 1972 you just skipped right over hte 1978 talking about the unimportant simon, missing out some very important years in video game history.
1975 - Home versions of PONG were released.
1976 - Fairchild VES (later the Fairchild Channel F). The worlds first microprocessor based console with interchangeable "Video Carts" (cartridges).
1977 - The year the Atari VCS (later the Atari 2600) was released, you'd think after seeing it near the beginning you'd mention it.

Nqkoi1 responds:

The home version of Pong was on the Magnavox which I believe I said about.I didn't want to bring up channel F since it was in the first episode about Atari which is only on CasualtyGamer.com .The Atari 2600 or any console for that matter wasn't what I wanted to talk about.I do however agree that there is stuff that I missed, but trying to keep everything under 3 minutes is hard.
