Reviews for "The Necronomicon 2.0"

Better

Better then the first but just FYI Challenge 8 is retarded, you get one shot 4/5 times. get rid of the arcane buff to the enemy maybe make it 10 elder defense or something or starting life higher.

Excellent

I played this game and its original on Kongregate and Newgrounds (mostly on Kongregate for the badges of which i only need the challenge ones!)

When i first played this game, i thought it was odd, but kind of fun...as i read the cards, the detail of artwork and the really cool phrases on each card really BROUGHT me into it...then i started to grasp the concept, and soon i went from rank 1 to 30 without dieing ONCE! (half luck, half skill)

I loved this game very much. I gotta say, 5/5 10/10 well done. I would work on a third one with maybe 3-5 new cards, and DEFINITELY. ONLINE PLAY!!!

Good Job.

Brandon-Grounds.

bravo

nice game. I love the gameplay sound and graphics. I like the theme too. Hopefully when the next game comes out it comes with multilayer :) .

Great!

This game is great.
Beat the first one, and just beat this one.

The only thing that I thinks it lacks, is a multiplayer mode.
Whether that would be playing with someone you know, or just someone random on the internet, I'm not sure- but it'd be interesting.

Great game though, had lots of fun playing.
Should have had some sort of relation to Erich Zann- but that's not really Cthulhu

Terrific Improvement

I've played the original and 2.0 definitely improves on the game and its concept.

The balance changes to the cards makes them much more attractive. I especially like how the Life spells were toned down and the Summons that were bland in the original Necronomicon now have unique traits to make them much more attractive to use.

Another nice touch is how card-inflicted Taint is now cumulative as well.

I don't know if it was in the original game, but the Voluntary Discard button is very, *very* nice and the Sanity bonus for using it is very sweet. A prayer answered for players trapped by Agoraphobia with Arkham Asylum out of their reach.

I certainly hope there's going to be more cards and mechanics included in future versions.
