I think you did the right thing posting this. I can't interperate this, but i can give you some advice. GET A BIKE! No, seriously heres the real advice:
Never give up-Nothing is hopeless unless you make it so.
Always give your all-Don't cut corners, it may save time but the end product won't be as good.
Always balance-Don't overwork yourself, if you feel you can't do something ask for advice/assistance. But don't be lazy either, and don't constantly depend on someone.
Be freindly to your friends-If you are nice people are nice back.
Always strive for something better-But be grateful for what you have.

When i was young, i had a few dreams:
In one i was in one of those chinese pull'carts that are pulled by bikes and it tipped over and i fell off a bridge.
In another i was a little kid in a tuxedo driving a stage coach along a beach everything was a shade of blue and there was some mist.
The night after i watched tresure island i had a dream where i was in a rowboat rowing towards a rock in the shap of a skull the sky was red and although there were no clouds there were lightning flashes occasionally. Nothing happened.
They were all in third person.
I think it's worth mentioning that most of my dreams are in blue and i'm terrified of falling.

i agree with metalmario. most of that stuff is usually true. i am not finding a basic idea though. i am trying to think of what each thing is specifically.
this is just a possibility, but maybe the sky represents blood and the rain means its "raining blood" meaning something violent, deadly or painful is to happen. how was the figure standing? if he looks up he may notice the danger and tries to run to safety.
how did the side pains feel? was it a stabbing, pushing, grabbing, or other pain. depending on it, that can show what the "blood" is related to.
you say the trees are flat like cardboard. if so this may mean you are boxed in (noting to do with being cardBOARD but it being flat).
the "volleyball nets" have holes meaning there may be multiple outcomes, or exits, or paths, or something but the nets i really dont understand.
the hills and curves while running may mean it will be a struggle.
when you pass the sort of totem, and you seem to become "safe" this may mean that someone or something is watching over you to protect you. the fires in the building may represent light meaning there is hope. and an open front may mean that you may be vulnerable but you are safe and willing to fight back at anything that opposes you.
in all: you are being attacked or chased by an unknown entity where you run into something that may be to hold you back ( the nets) but you get by. you struggle to survive or to succede but you eventually do succede or become safe and are gain self confiddence, willing to take anything on knowing it will be alright. i am no expert and know nothing on dreams but these are guesses that may be right! but you never know, it could be a whole different story. if you find anything out id appreciate it if you told ME. =P

The dream is you and your confusion about life's meaning. I believe it's picture of where you feel lost and sometimes held back from keep on going, even though it is already hard.
I don't think the dream is meaning anything else than a picture of your own confusion.

i have been thinking of this off and on... and i will just say what comes to me... and please forgive any misspellings i have in this letter...
i see that the running might be that you are trying to run away from it all, your might be scared of something, or that you are trying to support a famly and that it is a never ending hell hole... if you have a famly, or some other big thing.
i fell as if the road is of life itself, and that you are treading on it, hopeing that it keeps you safe enough to get where you need to be.
the trees to eather side might be fear, responseability, lust, anger, anything you want it to be, but i think it is something bad...
i think that the nets are something that you are trying to overcome, it is very hard to try and overcome it, but you have to keep going, if you let it tast your fear, all hell will break loose, you know somewhat of where to go, and so you go there hopeing for safty or a meaning to all of it.
the house in its mangeld form is safty... but not compleatly, and that the totem pole helps the house... without both, there is no safty, and there is only nets!
the strange vew of what you are might mean that you are trying to find yourself, you are tryting to find a meaning to your whole life, and that you are looking at yourself in diffrent ways.
the falling into the black part... i dunno what to make of it... but i think it has something to do with being at a loss to find what you where looking for, and that may be why you made this flash, maby you need to fill the void.
i think that the whole rode is of life itself, and that you must overcome something, i think you also need to start looking also outside of the dream if you have not done so already, see what is there that you may need to overcome, sutch as smokeing, hardships, relations, etc etc etc.
i also think that the soft red sky might also mean that all around you there is bad... but it seems so... good... and you must overcome that.
