Dreams...

A part of me wants to say that Dreams dont really mean anything deep and that its just your mind's way of relieving all the unfinished stress of the previous day.

But at the same time they tend to mimic your own outlook on the world.

I dont really know much about psychology, but I'd imagine that your tired. Tired of doing something that you dont like. Something that you want to get through or over with, but you feel that if you stop then bad things will happen.

if your 17 (like you said when you responded to that guy below) then perhaps its the prospect of school, and the building would be the peace that you would get after finishing and getting through that part in your life (or perhaps getting out of the house and starting your own life), but of course I could be wrong, the guy below me seems to know what he's talking about more than I.

I'd say the best oppinion you could get would be from someone who knows you.

I'll admit the flash itself isnt the greatest, but it did a good job of conveying the images and ideas of your dream I think (I dont know for sure since I didnt have the dream)
So good work

interesting...

i agree with metalmario. most of that stuff is usually true. i am not finding a basic idea though. i am trying to think of what each thing is specifically.
this is just a possibility, but maybe the sky represents blood and the rain means its "raining blood" meaning something violent, deadly or painful is to happen. how was the figure standing? if he looks up he may notice the danger and tries to run to safety.
how did the side pains feel? was it a stabbing, pushing, grabbing, or other pain. depending on it, that can show what the "blood" is related to.
you say the trees are flat like cardboard. if so this may mean you are boxed in (noting to do with being cardBOARD but it being flat).
the "volleyball nets" have holes meaning there may be multiple outcomes, or exits, or paths, or something but the nets i really dont understand.
the hills and curves while running may mean it will be a struggle.
when you pass the sort of totem, and you seem to become "safe" this may mean that someone or something is watching over you to protect you. the fires in the building may represent light meaning there is hope. and an open front may mean that you may be vulnerable but you are safe and willing to fight back at anything that opposes you.
in all: you are being attacked or chased by an unknown entity where you run into something that may be to hold you back ( the nets) but you get by. you struggle to survive or to succede but you eventually do succede or become safe and are gain self confiddence, willing to take anything on knowing it will be alright. i am no expert and know nothing on dreams but these are guesses that may be right! but you never know, it could be a whole different story. if you find anything out id appreciate it if you told ME. =P

Hmm...

I'm no Freud, but I have an interest in psychology and analysis, so I'll give it a shot.

I can't really say much because I don't know much about you, but from what I imagine, the white figure that seems to represent you from a third person seems to symbolize that you don't know yourself enough. Your mind is distant from your body, so you don't think about yourself as much as the world around you.

I am aware that barren landscapes generally represent a feeling of emptiness, but I haven't heard of flat, colorless trees asscociated with that. Perhaps they're telling you that you are too shallow-minded- you don't see the depth of the world; what it really is.

The meaning nets asscociated with running do seem pretty clear to me though. Nets are generally used to catch something. I think you are trying to "run" from something you are afraid of being "caught" by. The pain in your sides seems to mean that you are desperate because you are trying to run from these nets by any means necessary; even through pain.

The barren building at the end of the road seems to represent shelter. You believe that there is a safe resting point away from whatever you are running from. However, the front wall missing probably means that you won't feel entirely safe in this shelter; still open to the dangers of the "net" trying to "catch" you.

The one thing that still puzzles me is the red, velvety sky. All I can say for sure is that red in color psychology is associated with strong emotions such as rage and passion. Perhaps you have heavy emotions in your subconscious that your dream wants you to realize you have.

Again, this just a mostly uneducated opinion. I wouldn't completely trust it, but if you see something in your own life your dream might be telling you about, you should probably do something about it. After all, dreams are unconscious messages.

possible meaning

I'd say that the 3rd person view of yourself is a way to watch your own progress in life...how hard and fast you need to run seems to be how hard you need to work to get to your goals....vollyball nets? no clue, but overall, your dream, though strange isn't all that unlike those of others, it's that most times we block out or forget what puzzles us most...I know this, because it happens to me all the time

Whoa

I couldn't possibly try to even venture a guess as to what all of this may stand for or mean. But i liked it, it made me think and remember dreams that i too have had that were weird and seemingly symbolic in this sence. Is it a reacuring dream? or did you only have this visual lolypop of unknown origins once?
