Very interesting - thanks for sharing it...
First, let me tell you that the story and graphics were quite good. Your narration had depth, and feeling - and as it should, since this came from your soul.
Now, as for the dream symbols - there are many different ways that it may be interpreted, but if you'd like my opinion, please read on:
1) The road with the flat trees, red sky and mist reminds me of bloodstream and capillaries - and your alter ego is forced to follow the flow of the stream. In life, this may mean that you feel you have no choice but to move ahead, no matter how uncertain the future is. It may not be a nice, sunny road, but it's the road you have to travel.
2) The nets popping up seem to represent the hidden traps of life - they come up out of nowhere, and can snare you. Your alter ego realizes that to get past these traps, it can't slow down (and feel sorry for itself) - it has to run past them. There is a goal, but it is not clear.
3) The winding road and the city in the distance represents the goal. Again, uphill and not a direct way to get there - but the alter ego continues. It doesn't look too inviting, but it's better than the road
4) Approaching the city / building, the alter ego passes by a totem or a gate - and feels that he is safe now, and the running is over. This is the mile marker in your life - if you can just get to "x" spot in your life, you'll be safe.
5) But the house is run down, and the wall is missing. No people, no life - just a shell. After all that running, and trying to reach safety, your alter ego discovers that the end of the road is just as lonely as the beginning, despite all the trials and problems he went through.
It seems to be a representation of an underlying fear that you have no choices in life (only one road, going forward), and that part of you doesn't want to give up - you want to fight and run and get past the snares and hard times. But a part of you is hurt deep, and that hurt is shown by the end goal - you thought it safe, but just as empty and unwelcome and alone. It's almost as if you feel that it may just not be worth the fight - what is the meaning of your life? When you come to the end of that road, what awaits you - or anyone for that matter?
That's just my interpretation. I've had odd dreams before, and sometimes all they wind up to be are random thoughts that played in my head - and sometimes there was a message. I don't know how this fits in your life, but if I can offer a little bit of advice that helped me through my dark roads and nasty traps: don't give up. Sometimes you walk the road alone - and sometimes you walk with friends. But in the end, it's not where you wind up - it's what you did along the way that mattered. It's not about religion (I am Catholic) - it's about a state of mind, and knowing that all of us walk alone many times in our lives.
Maybe your next dream will continue past the house - maybe the road will fork, or you'll meet another traveller. But I have a feeling you won't be sitting still and feeling sorry for yourself - you appear to have that drive to go forward, and get past your obstacles. You have that strong spirit - just keep it strong, and you'll see - things will get better.
Pleasant dreams....
