This is very interesting.
I've have a good number of strange dreams myself. Fairly lucid most of the time, I'm pretty sure most of mine involve an innate fear of failure...which is why I strive to take control and pull everything into my favor.
But enough about me. Let's talk about this dream.
Bit of a puzzler, ain't it? I'm not a dream-interpretting professional or anything, but here's my take. In a dream, you are never truly you, at least not in the phyical sense. You can go through many identities or changes in a dream, yet all of these forms still have a 'you-ness' to them. The field of trees probably seem fake and indistinct because they're outside of your experience or view. You cannot go there. You only have the path, and so much remains hidden in the trees. Enter now the nets. Them being volleyball nets is not what's important. I once had a Doom-related dream where I killed everything with my finger. Regardless, the nets are dangerous, possibly the threat of being swallowed up by something if you stop pushing yourself. What you may feel you're struggling with is up to you, IF that's the case at all. Though, with the abandoned house and the totem pole in mind, I imagine that there is a goal at the end where you can stop struggling. Maybe you wake up too soon because you haven' found that niche yet. Hell, maybe you wish you had the machete of confidence to cut the nets open.
Anyway, this is what your flash-dream made me think of. If it's completely off, don't sweat it. Just an interpretation. I give it 10 'cause it intrigued me.
Oh, and could ya maybe drop me a PM when you see this? I'm kinda' curious what ya think, be it good or bad.
