Reviews for "StarCraft: Alliance"

The film left something desired.

I love the entire series, and this was kind of a let down, not living up to the expectations set by your other two animations in the series. The voices seemed a little under-enthousiastic, considering the tense situation they were in (especially with the commander of the terran base) that ended up dampering the high pace of the plot. Aside from that, it was an alright film.

LogFish responds:

Well I'll try to improve future episodes - I think this is a vast improvement from previous episodes myself, but I see voices as the most obvious thing to improve in the series so I'll be doing that in the future! Cheers!

Not too bad.

I liked the artwork and the style but all the voices sound like the same guy pretending to be a british version of those Jewish Aliens from South Park. you know, the ones with the Jagons that made Earth a reality series...

LogFish responds:

I don't, and they were all me, being a New Zealander, with an accent that isn't American. I don't suppose you guys ever get anything that isn't American on your TV so you wouldn't know :)

that was nice

that was a nice animation i only beg of u next time not to make it tha long, break it up into 2 epesodes. as a star craft lover i fully enjoyed that but again far to long

now to the animtaion, the animation was clean, and well drawn, i lovd the originality of the drawings, the talking scenes where goood and the paning was done to perfection. loved the soften fill edge eyes that was nice, the style was different but also very well drawn, i thought the hand to hand combat could of been improved and the camera angled changed to much but only in the hand to hand. the voice acting was done brilliantly, until towards the end but the clarity and script was brilliant, the variance in the different voices could of been involved, did u do all the voices yourself? if so you did a really really good job. you must make more and this was a brilliant flash

well done and keep up the good work

LogFish responds:

Thanks! Yea I did all the voices, I'm meaning to get a voice actor for the next one, so there'll be a bit more variety. I agree the fight at the start is kinda ... quick and choppy, I'm working on ironing out that kind of thing in the next episode, bring in another level of professionalism to it.

sweet

Great job once again... i have one bit of advice/ question/ constructive criticism or whatever you want to call it... the big space fight was cool, but it was a bit hard for me to follow. I couldn't tell if the "good" protoss and the "bad" protoss had different colors (like the game does)? It would've been easier to figure out who was who if the colors were more obviously different.

Also, I would've liked to have seen some kind of dialogue between the 2 protoss fleets before they started duking it out, since that was a pretty major betrayal...but on the other hand, i guess you don't want to drift too much off topic (% anyway, great job and i look forward to seeing more!

(( Notbad ))

~~REVIEW~~
This was neat, it had some good story to it i think i saw one of the others and was also good, very impressive work and nice detail, keep it up.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Nice game but the size could use some compression, just abit.

~~OVERALL~~
Good story nice animation.

~X~

LogFish responds:

Thanks! These are actually as compressed as I can manage - I reuse as many graphics as I can get away with, but 3D sequences are enormous so there's no getting around it sometimes :( The sound is as bad as I can have it without distortion too. Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed it - maybe you wanna check out the later episodes too (they're much better)
