Reviews for "March_To_Eternity [Box-Killa]"

Not boring in the slightest

I thought this was a very good song. The instruments all worked very nicely together to create a medieval sounding affect, rather complementing the title. The style changes and dynamics made the piece interesting throughout the song, particularly the crescendos :D

The only thing I didn't like was that during the melody throughout the song, it sounded as though some notes were not very strategically placed and sounded a bit awkward at times. Also I felt that some of the chords which the piece was built off of didn't fit together.

Still, great song with lots of variety. Keep up the great work!

Nice.

This has an interesting semi-complexity to the piano part which I appreciated. When it all comes together ~25 seconds in it is very nice.

Keep it up.

Hey, very nice!

It was a bit hard to understand what the overall concept was supposed to be, but this was very nice indeed! I was especially impressed at how you managed to put in a mischevious sort of theme. It was nice to recognize the piano that you played. It got more adventerous sounding as it went on, and that worked well for itself. I also liked the use of drums for a more demanding sound. All in all, this was a pretty nice little song to listen to.

quite nice

i like it for the most part, though it seems chaotic at times. i think its the sudden start and stop of the percussion track and how powerful it is. it could probably be given the spotlight a bit more with some tweaking to have it stand out yet not clash with the interesting melody you have there.

the piano is a nice touch and its nice to hear some classical compositions nowadays. let me know when your next track is out too!

7/10

Transitioning: Nice, when you stop at around 00:47 you get too quiet for too long. Then again at 1:45, too long for pausing and quietness. However, at 3:05, that one is great because of the drums. Every other transition of music is good.

Patterns: Until the end the piano and other instruments kept following the same pattern of playing with little variation to them. The drums especially. But the variation in it (like the intro and outro) was awesome.

Vocals: None.

Theme/ Feel: This is were it was inconsistent, I get a feeling of a climax or battle through most of it, but then a feeling of sadness near the transitions and maybe from a deeper perspective a sense of dread. Without vocals the theme is a bit harder to establish. I think the drums sort of gave it the theme though, but I'm not sure what it is.

Specifics: I feel the drums and another instrument should have opened instead of the piano, but that's just me. Good job over all.
