Reviews for "March_To_Eternity [Box-Killa]"

Pretty Cool

I liked it. What program did you use and what VST's are used in here?

Box-Killa responds:

edirol/nexus

Cool!

I like it a lot. As I listened, I totally thought this would go well if 'Mouse Guard' were an animation or something-- sounds like a good "Mice doing battle" theme. My favorite was at 2:18 and how it builds up.

The things I think drag this peice a bit is the piano and the snare drums-- it sounds way too synthetic. That and I feel there's 1 or 2 too many silent parts in the song.

So I enjoyed it very much. Hope this review helped out. Either way, great job!

Box-Killa responds:

hey there are no silent parts, only quiet parts. But that is a stupid statement, why are quiet parts bad? And you need something quiet to compare with the loud. :D

Likes what I hears

You have it, I enjoyed your little start up, I imagine it could have surged out a bit more with different pianos, a harp and probably an organ into a "stormy" sort of feel, but considering your rhythm and aim at the song, it probably would not have fit. The background is too hollow, a simple background string would have been good to cover that up, a slow song playing in the background, and if you focused the melody to revolve around that, you would have came up with a song that bounces heads. All and all it's not bad, your breaks in pace sort of gotten repetitive, after twice it should have picked up again in my opinion, and to better capitalize on it, you could have sort of composed a new rhythm from that and returned to your original.

Instrument-wise, I don't see any real issues other than the lack thereof. Very nice work.

Nice Dramatic Song, Suspensful Intro too

Great job, sounds like the kinda music in old RPGs as Cross666 said, nice work!

Nice battle music

Makes me think of the retro Final Fantasy games, they tended to do this kind of music right before you entered a dramatic or epic battle or right before you had to fight the final boss in a game. Very nice work here.

Piano: Sounds awesome and sinister, very nice detail there.

Drums: Sounds pretty cool. Enjoy how it does some fast hits then pauses for a moment then goes back to being hit a lot really fast and in segments.

Violin: Sounds pretty classy and soothing, really enjoyed how that turned out.

Overall: No real need to improve here, very nice job on this.
