It was brillant the best game i'v ever seen on newgrounds. This belongs on the front page. I like the idea of copying that game (i forgot the name of it) Though i would of liked it a lot more if u could go through one side of the screen and come out the other like the old game. High score 43,683 on normal difficulty.
You are probably talking about "Asteroids", the game a lot of people relate this too. However, to all of you people out there, this is a copy of the game "Space Monkeys", an unlockable minigame from Ape Escape (Playstation). Anyway, thanks for the review man. It helps a lot on anything else I work on!

That was good man, things got crazy on the higher levels and that made it all the better.
And to the fuckwads who keep flaming you: The concept may not be original, but the game play is. The ship doesn't move quite the same as asteroids and the action is alot more intense. Besides, imitation is the highest form of flattery according to japanese tradition.
Keep up the good work, don't get discourged by these assholes with no life but writing reviews to make themselves feel superior.

I liked almost everyaspect of it. but it did take a little while to get to actualy fighting spaceships instead of asteroids. But i suppose it does give you a little time to practice. Maybe you could move the very early levels into a sort of Training mission?
Two things...
Was that the "X2: The Threat" font?
And was the difficulty "ELITE" a reference to the Elite games, ie: Elite, Frontier and First Encounters?
When I had the campaign still there was a training level. However, I took that out just like everything else. As for the font, most of it was done in a font called "Earth", which was used for all the buttons and the like. The font used for the title on the main screen was "Federation Starfleet". Both of those I think can be found at 1001freefont.com, but I am not 100% sure on that.
Elite really is not really a reference to anything. Thinking of it now, I think "Veteran" and "Elite" are difficulty options for Dungeon Siege when you play online (I don't have the game anymore so I don't know). I just chose that because it is cool sounding. Thanks for the review! It's very helpful.
