CONTROLS:
Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER:
========================
If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here: http://bit.ly/NCx4h

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread: http://www.newgrounds.com /bbs/topic/1123318
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.

I can definitely see where your influences lie

MegaMan, Battle Toads and Metroid.

In my opinion, the controls are spot on and par for the course for this style of game.
Level design (so far) is ok. It is a little tedious, but the original Metroid was INCREDIBLY tedious, so kudos for striking a good balance in the level design between Metroid and MegaMan.

My biggest complaint is in the art work department. If Who did the aesthetic design is 10, well then keep up the good work. You'll only get better. Otherwise find a friend who can properly design the visuals.

My second complaint is the music. Each song taken on its own is good and suits the moods of their levels/events, but an overall vibe is lacking. Find one single person to make all the music so there is an overall sense of coherence.

Your strengths obviously lie in the programming/engineering/design field, so recognize your weaknesses, focus more energy on your strengths, and get a couple people to pick up the slack.

Overall i'm having a lot of fun with the game. Favorited! :)

Ughh

This game could easily be better the controls are shoty they could be changed to mouse and keyboard witch would make the game a lot better. The characters and story line are awesome love it but the animations are a bit graphicy if thats a word. But other wise its a great game

Hmmm...

Well, first the good; I had fun playing it. Controls were smooth and easy to use. Variety on foes was and bosses were nice.

For the bad? Voice acting is, at times, painful. Graphics are subpar and stiff. Story is kinda meh. Character design is also meh.

That's it. It was fun, but kinda bland.
