Reviews for "Hunters - Stage 2"

There is room for improvement.

Now right off the bat I'll admit to not having played the first game. As such, I am not going to critique the story.

One of the things that stood out (negatively I'm afraid) was the ability to endlessly fire your weapon. I literally played through the whole game holding down Z with the second weapon. I'd definitely add clips, or ammo to the next installment to prevent this in the future. I also didn't like the fact you had to move your character to aim, especially in the diagonal directions; it made shooting those pesky sky hunters in the beginning hard to kill.

That said, I did like the fact that the levels dramatically change; I certainly did not expect Carina to hop off her bike and pursue on foot. The enemies followed predictable patterns yet that didn't make them any less of a challenge to defeat / flee. And those icicles; well, I'll just say they caused more than a few deaths.

The art, as you are probably aware, could use a touch, but I can't criticize you on that, because mine is worse. ^_^

I'd give this game a 7, and keep pushing your ActionScript boundaries!!

Here's a tip

There's a way to make your vector art look good even if you're not good at drawing. Single-pixel strokes make your drawings look like crap. Either use thick strokes to go for a cute cartoony effect or use no strokes at all to go for a cooler, more serious effect. Like those pointy cave backgrounds; those looked pretty good. I for one suck at drawing but I can still make passable artwork.

Anyway, I like the game, though it more reminds me of old school Flash games than old school 8-bit games.

another series of hunters, good good. you wont let the gamers wait, you just put them here. graphics are same wwith the previous, but as landscape, the music is new. from the beginning there's action, and this time it's hunters. but wait:

what are hunters? why they want to kill the player? and their leader, motiivationlessly trying to take out player time after time? i hoped i'd find answers during this stage, but no, same characters doing same things. avion (or the redhead) being mysterious and escaping the plalce, leaving player to trouble, player searching the whole place for something, and the hunter-leader, trying to kill player. doesnt make much sense.

all our hero did was to find the redhead for answers, but she just gets into trouble. i wish that in the next stage there will be some revelations, or the plot, whatever it is, will start to collapse apart. as a role-game player, i demand at least mediocre plot and/or story for the game, but this story aint no story. sorry tto say such thins tho.

this seems like ready-to-upload -kind of flash series. you've done these completely, and now you just ulpoad these here. so i believe i can't change anything, but please, make some story for it.
