Careful on the baking. Your flames actuallly look pretty good. Well in the photo you showed.
Sculping is allowed, originally it wasnt but some people really want to push the envelope and not make it look so bear-like so thats fine. Go for it.

my first wip post. I'm too poor to go out and buy paints but I had a big set of prismcolor markers sitting around so I put them to good use. they don't work perfect on the figurine but they'll have to do.
I will eventually get around to putting something here. for the meantime here is a link to my portfolio
too bad the nose didn't go as planned, but it's still a nice figurine

If you have a gamesworkshop near you get paints from there, they are quite cheap and mark well.

Wow nice nice.....not bad not bad....it would look rly cool if u make it shiny!
I'm loving this project, so I thought I'd post a couple of WIPs.
Top pic is my ted sprayed blue, next to a sheet of transfers printed from home. Its covered in paper tests to check I've got the sizes right.
Bottom pic is where I'm at now, paused for drying. I've used transparent transfer paper since my cutting is erratic and jagged, but the faint shapes give a guideline to follow for painting. It would be so much easier if I chose a light base colour though.
Looks like there are already some good entries, I have finished the helm and the shield and the shoes. Next I will do the trousers and make a sword.

Hey do you have pics....i would love to see em....
I would like to wrap up this project on Nov. 20th, meaning you've mailed it all back, finished and ready to go. I know that seems like a long time but you have to figure that atleast a week of that is lost during mailing it. And October will be over next week.
