Nah, it's okay. We'll have a rematch later.
I had a plan on how to win anyways, so consider yourself lucky. ;D

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

I'm curious, though... what exactly happened? And how much time after I said ''BRB''?

And to youngblood: I told you, I didn't close it.

Cool, half the games are done.

Sawdust dropped out, so Gu-rrilla is in his place for Game 5.

Murad, can you message the people who haven't played yet?

In other news, look at this sweet setup. I'm white, and it is black's move.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I moved my queen there on purpose. If he takes it, he loses.

Sweet.

I'll PM him right away.

At 7/23/08 09:49 AM, smc316 wrote: How? I don't see how you can win if he takes it...

I don't think he meant that he'd win the whole game, just that the person would lose their queen.

Right now the king can't move for shit because of the dark bishop, if the queen takes it, he can take the other person's queen with his rook.

How would he lose his queen? Cause zerok is white and he is the only one I see losing his queen.....

My move would be pawn to b5 to take your bishop. If he takes the queen the bishop will take the pawn and move to c6. As I look at it that would be check mate.

Sorry for the double post but I must add that is a clever move. It distracts you to looking at the queen and missing the bishop.

Also I will be online all day today. So I am waiting to play my match.

Nope, it'd be mate when I move my white bishop. djconnect's got it right:

Then my move is to attack the rook with my queen by moving it up one space. If black does anything else other than taking my black bishop at that time he's in deep shit. Even taking the bishop still ups me a rook on him, and his kingside pieces are still undeveloped.

Wow, I mounted an incredible comeback on djconnect.

I had 4 pawns, a rook, a knight, and a bishop, whereas he only lost a knight and a pawn and I came back to win it.

5/8 games are done in Round 1.
Round 2 will also have 8 games (less in following rounds).
If we still have noshows by tomorrow morning I'll arrange for some stand-ins.
Anyone who's not in the tourney and wants to be a stand-in please let me know somehow.
Cheers!

Whoah.

Well, technically this game was over 50 moves, but only because we had to set it up on Pogo.
IzzyDude and I played a game of Kings and Pawns, which is great endgame practice. I haven't tried to do a pre-set game on RHP, it may be a subscriber thing. Anyway, white usually goes first but because of the way we did it black got to go first:

I was going to copy it all down, but when he left the game, the move history and pieces reset.

Ok, the 48 hours are up, so I'll start accepting stand-ins.

I think Tech and Black-Ops volunteered.
One will play Murad and one will play Gu-rrila, and we'll have to work the remaining game out somehow.
