Hey, Bahamut! Thanks for the update! I figured it being Father's Day and all you might put this off until Monday (unless you don't celebrate it there in the UK?). But it's always good to see the list. I personally have had more time to spend on the portal, but it seems I just can't get any significant blams - and it's not from lack of trying.

Oh, another observation on your list: Out of the 300 users on this list, 168 had NO activity this past week. I went back and randomly checked a few these past months and discovered that LESS THAN HALF of the top 300 users showed any activity since JANUARY 2012. Oh, there are definitely some movers and shakers clawing their way through the ranks, but there are many that haven't reach Supreme Commander who just stopped. True, there are 214 SC's now (and Wilhelm the Vampire parked at 29999 - LOL) but out of the 86 under 30K, over 30 have stopped cold. I can see that once you break 30K there's no where left to go, and you move on. But I guess this information is just indicative of the decline of the user base here at Newgrounds.

I was intrigued by your comment about JustCrusin88, so I did monitor his(?) stats for the past few weeks - and the time periods before your accusation. It looks like he's been voting generally fairly all along - the account is a little over 3 years old, and he's got 11,073 blams and 39,449 saves as of this posting. Looking back at NG logs for June 3rd (2 weeks ago) he did have 11,025 blams and 39,263 saves.

In the past two weeks: 48 blams and 186 saves (3.875 P/B ratio). Since currently we see on Newgrounds about a 6.1 overall P/B ratio, that puts him more of a blammer than saver.

In your defense, the few weeks prior (where you made your observations) he did have only a handful of blams, but then if you go back a month before he was back to better-than-average blamming. Maybe he just got bored for a few weeks - or someone was covering his account - but out of all the users with poor b/p ratios (including yours truly) I don't think this guy is a savewhore. But, that's just my opinion. I guess he read your message and straightened himself out. Either way, I don't see him as a problem anymore.

I still think the best way to increase the overall B/P ratio is to raise the bar for a flash passing judgment. Up it from 1.6 to 1.75, and most of the marginal flashes will fail judgment, and people will start voting 0 or 1 on them to get their points. People vote 5 on bad submissions because it works; so make it no longer work. I know what my B/P ratio is, but even so, I'd rather lose a blam on a bad submission than get a save on it.

I think the real tragedy is when submissions that have been clearly identified with a deletion tag still pass through, because people just vote everything up blindly. Hopefully the deletion tag has a special meaning in the system, and when such a flash is removed any save points are revoked and blam points are awarded, but unless someone feels like monitoring their points like a HAWK we'll never know.

given the current B/P pace, i should be able to reach the 40,000 mark within one month.

it definetely takes a much longer time for a submssion to pass so usually i can vote on every entries in the flash portal without missing any of them. i might be much harsher when it comes to rating under judgment flashes but at least the delay gives me a reasonable B/P pace.

You know that I - with a daily pace of about 14 B/P - sometimes get more blams than you with a pace of 50+ B/P a day? This really makes me wonder if you are voting fairly on the submissions at all or if you just vote 5 on nearly everthing just for the points. If you do the latter, you might want to know, that this behavior is one of the reasons why the portal gets swamped with cookie cutter games every day.

A blacklist is a bit harsh in my opinion, but I have to say that I will in no way support mindless 5-voting in the portal.

Your being blacklisted would only be from your apparent lack of ethics and morals in regards to your voting practises. BUT, with that said I will stand up for you here. In case some of you hadn't noticed DoctorStrongbad got I believe 89 Blams this month, which would have placed him 5th on the Blammers list for the month, and 497 Blams since the last list at an average of 99.4 Blams per month. Pretty good going actually. Better than most actually. So maybe it's time to lighten up guys. There are far worse users flouting the system now than DrS.

i don't know what the protect/blam ratio is but i am guessing it is way more than 10:1.

Mods are users as well. They too have the right to express their opinion about other users. As long as they do not abuse their mod powers, there's nothing wrong with it, I guess.

Also, I trust everyone here is voting 0 on the games2grow replacement accounts' submissions, of which there are currently 2 in the portal. I can't wait until we get the whistle back, and we can just flag these entries as shovelware without having to rely on enough people to realize what's going on, or on sending messages to staff members letting them know.
