I have had a few ideas, but most of them are too crazy.

Here is one:

"HIPPLE"
Have people draw one, and see what you get.

Excellent idea. Most of the time, ideas are fairly the same. I think that something random is good, because it'll make people more creative, and can produce very different drawings.

My final:

Carnivore
This creature is often mistaken as a harmless plant by sharks, which makes the carnivores hunt really easy. As a shark passes by it uses it's long tentacles to get a grip around the body. The large spikes on the edge of tentacles makes it impossible for the shark to escape.

Scyphocyte

These large blobs are incapable of moving by themselves, so they simply float on the currents, waiting for prey to swim into their nearly invisible form. While they will eat most anything they happen across, they are particularly dangerous to sharks, since bits and pieces of whatever they are digesting escape into the surrounding waters. The sent will draw nearby predators, often sending them into a blood-frenzy. It is believed that many sharks don;t even realize they have been captured until they find themselves unable to move, stuck in the gelatinous body of the scyphocyte.

yah, smoothen up the seaweed and maybe add some bubbles, and some silhouettes in the background to add that depth to it perhaps.

Wow, awsome picture :) I also like the idea behind it, you can imagine it to be real lol. The shark looks really good and stylized, the shading and colour is nice on the shark as well as the whole picture, i really like how you have coloured the plant creature it looks really effective and the composition is interesting too. As always i love the way you texture your artm it gives it a really nice effect. The line art was good too which helps make it a good drawing once coloured. Anyway, overall very nice and im glad your posting in the COW threads more often again :D.
