I lost my Rebel. Here is a picture, first time with lights. I have some better ones but I'll have to scan them.

When I took a couple of photography classes back in high school, my teacher had us do alot of projects involving moving subjects. On occasion I still get some decent shots.

Hey fellas, I'm looking into buying a cheapish lomography camera, and this came up on Ebay. Now, I'm inclined to buy it as it's pretty cheap, but I would like to know if any of you guys have heard of the make, or even used it before?

Neat, the snow kind of looks like paint strokes.
I'm not really an expert on photography but the rule of thirds would've made your picture even more interesting.
Most modern cameras have the option to display a grid on the preview screen so it's really easy to do and doesn't really take any extra setup time.
It's still a nice picture but this is just a tip for the future to make your future pictures look even better.

Film is art but belongs in it's own category, music is art but has its own category; see the trend?
Photography IS art, but belongs in it's own category.
To mix hand crafted illustrations and photographs together by using the "Photography is art" argument doesn't really hold water.
Here are some shots I took with my phone, or "tourist Photography" as some in this thread has called it.
Personally if a no talent bum photographer like me can create shots like these with a product most people already have in there pocket; putting it in the same category as handcrafted work that takes years to learn and craft just isn't valid.
Photography should have its own category.
Also I'd like to mention that, yes, there's no rules on posting Photography in a thread, but there is rules on NG that Photography can not be uploaded to the art portal
