Well, I'm on Wave now, so invites may be forthcoming at some stage :P
That could be fun...I can see that place easily becoming a gathering point for the EGB and a nice supplement to the main thread. I'd have to play with it more to see, though.
Yeah! Now there's a victory parade in a few minutes time.
I hope the Yanks extend Kate Hudson's contract... :-P
Yeah, it could be a place where Eagle hosts a wave for his stories, for example. A place where discussions about potential members happens in real time, that sort of thing.
I also see it as a great chat room, greater than using IM or some chat on a web page. You could literally see what all of the EGB is doing at that time...I think it'd be a blast!

Hmmm. Over the past few days we have been talking about nothing really. Shall we get a conversation going in here or something? IT seems.....Kinda.....Bland.
Let's talk about lawn chairs. Interesting, aren't they? ;-)

Just got this surgery done yesterday. It was a solid 10-hour day for me in the hospital. My nose is now pretty much centered, and, from what I've been able to do so far, breathes a lot better. But I did learn a few things while there.
I read the procedure and all of your posts, so I'm glad to see that the procedure was successful, and here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
1) You will never get any better sleep then when you're knocked out with anesthesia.
I remember when I had to get foot surgery due to an accident in martial arts...I saw the guy inject something into my IV hookup, and I remember saying "So, how long before this takes affeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..." *sleep*
I woke up feeling like I just had like 20 beers...it was awesome.
2) Percasets are one hell of a drug
Oxycodone is the shit...no doubt. I'm someone with a large tolerance for stuff like alcohol and painkillers, so I can actually drive and function normally on oxy, but man, when that stuff starts working, it's like a blanket of awesome slowly coating your body. Ahhhhhhh...
3) Even though the surgeons broke my nose and cut my nostrils, nothing hurts more than a dry throat sore from the breathing pipe they put down it for the anesthesia.
Ugh...I can imagine...that doesn't seem to be a think that painkillers can easily resolve.
4) When you're 10 minutes out of surgery, don't hit on the nurses, even if they are hot. Because trust me, you look like to belong in the morgue.
HAHAHA...I'll remember that tip, thanks. Of course, you might have the Florence Nightingale effect work towards your favor, so it's worth a shot. :-P

Byte's great advice
Exactly. That's why my initial Barracks story was about Counter-Strike...it's what I knew. I have since been able to expand my writing elsewhere, but it was the best building block for me.
(Another PSA from the fine folks at the EGB. And remember kids, only you can prevent forest fires!
*cues music* The more you knoooooow.
So yeah, let's hope for our fellow Barracks member's quick recovery...and if you get to reading my story TheThing, you'll hopefully notice I left you a little present in the latest chapter. :-)
