I just wanted to mention that AS: Main got locked.
And yet we didn't arrived to spam it so much, so we didn't hit page 50 :(

i'm going to make a php script that generates the tut list =)

Well yes.
When I started The Top Audio Reviewers topic I was doing it via a PHP Script. It's really simple.

Well, if you're so upset, then help determine AS: Mains future, here: http://www.newground../topic.php?id=556222
I am not upset.
I'm just mentioning it.
And yes I've already seen that thread, it's hard to miss it :=)
This is a good thread, and I'm very, very sad about AS:Main.
OK guys, I wanted to wait for the next update for this, but it's becoming increasingly common so I'm bumping to say it now.
IMPORTANT: If you put PHP: Main in your sig and would LIKE to be on the supporters list, you MUST post in this thread or PHP: Main discussion!! Sp far I have seen about 4 people around the Flash and Programming forum with PHP: Main in their sig, and I assume they want to be on the supporters list, but they did not post here. So PLEASE post here if you have it in your sig and want to be on the list, or don't complain when I miss you.
I've put the people I've come across with it in their sig on the list, so you guys got lucky.
I love people putting it in their sig, but I just want to make sure all the people get credited for being a supporter.
Thanks :)

I agree, me too. How about posting a topic there about it? Or in general? Or in both? That would decrease chances for them to being overlooked.

Well, I feel I make it pretty clear in the next update.

Php: Main - Discussion Thread - Please keel ALL discussion about PHP: Main in that thread. Only post links to new tutorials in this thread. Thanks.
We are continuing our "referall" program. If you put PHP: Main in your signature, you can get on the list under supporters with a link to your website. Simply put a link in your signature, and post here and say that you have put it in. You will be included in the next update.
Please pop into PHP: Main discussion thread and suggest some more "other links".
IMPORTANT! I created an automated PHP script that indexes PHP: Main for new tutorials and formats the links for me. It seems to have worked great, but please check new tutorials over ofr link accuracy.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ALSO. A lot of people have been putting PHP: Main in their sigs and NOT posting here telling me. Two people got lucky on this update as I saw posts from them and noticed PHP: Main in their sigs. I assume they want to be on the supporters list. If you don't, just let me know. So when you put PHP: Main in your sig, remember to notify me.
As always, please report any mistakes.
Haha, you've made a script which does the job for you (basically) but the authors are still ordered by alphabet ;)

Well right now all the script does is index the tutorials and spit them out in link form. I still make the authors list myself.
Maybe one day I'll have it do some calculations.

Yeah, that's actually NoEscapeFrom reality. When people change their names every week it's pretty hard to keep up.
Thanks for showing me though. I'll change that in the next update :)
I'm going to work now, so I wont be able to answer any more questions until I get back.
At 9/10/06 06:11 AM, EccinNET wrote: Nice update. The list is getting bigger and bigger.
Maybe a nice suggestion: how about making this list automated? Using a form where people can submit their tutorial(s) - someone has to aprove it of course. This way the list can easily be modified and the list can be pulled easily from a database.
Nah, I don't like making the tutorial authors do extra work.
My indexer automates it enough, and makes it easier to update.
O MY GOSH! I know it's massively huge, but it is a helpful tutorial.
If enough people "complain" I'll post the source, but that shouldn't be a problem.
The news script alone is worth 3 posts, so the other 2-3 is comments.

Yup, thanks to Jeremy for the idea :) It makes it easier, and doesn't require any extra work on the tutorial writers, and that's what I like about it. I'm glad you mentioned it to me as it does save some time.
