Nope, click on the dance crash channel, and a popup should... popup... At the bottom of that popup there should be a bunch of little boxes you can check, simple check reverse.

This may have been asked already.
But how do you fade in and out sounds and patterns?

I've seen it done on the demos that you download with FL when you get it.
But I can't work out what's going on.

Thanks in advanced.

It's called an automation clip... Right click on what you want to automate (Volume knob, or effect knob or whatever) and select "create automation clip." Than click on the bottom half of the playlist, and place, drag, and edit how you want the automation clip to take place...

I'm such a noob.

I have an automation clip thing, but it's not fading in my sound.

We should make an "FL: Main" similar to Denvish's AS: main to teach Actionscript.

People should write detailed tutorials on subjects and post them, and afterwards we could keep an updated page of all of them, so we wouldnt have so many repeated questions. ( i admit iv asked many stupid ones)

what do you think?

Response to Ask your FruityLoops questions here 2007-05-20 15:41:15

I think its a well good idea!

Good point, but we will still get the same questions throughout the audio forums... We've figured out that people most likely wont look at the stickys or whatever, unless they are told to do so... I dont see why it would be different for this. But It does sound like a good idea if it were to work.

Why can't you assholes just download the automation tutorial .flp I made instead of asking the same question every day all the time?

I wasbeing lazy and deciding not to search for it...
I honestly thought it would just be a case of "Push that button up there, drag that there, turn that up a bit."

I'm guessing you posted it a few pages back?

Okay nevermind.
I worked it out.

It seems it was easier to read a few other posts than being lazy.
Sorry guys, and thanks.

How do you make the instrument columns thing that you see when you start FL longer than 2 seconds without using the piano roll.

I have the demo version if that matters.

Top left of the sequencer there will be a little box with like -- in it... Move it up to however many beats you want it to have... In a 4/4 time signature- 4 = default 1 measure, 8 = 2 measures 12 = 3 measures... etc.

Or, adding on to the FL: Main idea. what if we were to make a huge flash tutorial collaboration on how to do different things in FL

Yes. In the options near the big clock, tick the option that says "Keyboard to MIDI keyboard" or anything that sounds like that, I forgot, and type away.

I think Q was Middle C, I don't remember. Maybe it was W. The numbers above are the Sharps and Flats, zxcvbnm,./ works too down to C4 I think.

This isn't an actual question but a really small 'easter egg', or at least a special thing in FL.
Set your computer's date to May, 23rd. Open up FL, and in the top left corner it says "Happy birthday to me!"
:)

The big one in the top middle of the window. Below there are the pause/play/stop/record buttons.
To the right of it is the tempo. Even more to the right the pattern selector. And a bit more to the right should be the "Typing keyboard to piano keyboard" button. If that is what you meant.

ya but unlike the sticky. this will have specific answers to all types of questions. not just a general answer that barely explains anything.

Audacity

Now, I have a question. In FL7, when I create an automation clip, it starts at the beginning of the song. It is ANNOYING!!

How do I make it "spawn" on the space that I click?

i dont have FL7 but im assuming it works the same way.

In the automation clip area (bottom right corner in the screen ( playlist?))

1- you just click where u want it and/or make it bigger/smaller etc.
2- click and drag to here you want it

No, it doesn't.

When you click on the bottom portion, it starts at the beginning of the song, rather than where you clicked, unlike in FL6.

It is annoying.
