I've treated my pets as members of the family, so I must agree that it can be weird having your pet seeing you naked. I can't put my finger on why it is, but it definitely is.
Then again, they are pretty much naked 24/7. So it's not like they even care. If they get offended, make sure that you remind them "You are naked all the time, so I better not hear any complaints about my naked body coming from you!"

On a slightly related note, I once showered with my dog in an attempt to bathe it without hosing down a pair of designer jeans. Ended up ankle deep in murky water and shedding fur clogging the drain. Worst bath ever.

They are technically naked all the time.
Cats and Dogs don't feel awkward sexually, I don't think. I don't they think they are socially awkward, those who are have no idea they are. It's a human feeling.
