I really like hockey and I follow it a lot (especailly now that I have a fantasy team). I really wish I could play, but I can barely skate. I'm ok going forwards, but to stop I just twirl in circles or smash into the boards. Last time I tried to back up I almost ran some 3 year old over. It wasn't pretty AT ALL.

Lol, its good enough as long as you don't hate hockey.

My parents used to force my to take figure skating lessons when I was young. Ugh, I really hated it.

Well they ARE kicking TO's ass at the moment in the standings. :)

FIGURE SKATING?!?!? FOR A GUY (if that is what you really are...)?!?!? I actually took figure skating lessons too at one point, but only for a short period of time (I sucked BADLY) and when I switched to boy skates, it was like I forgot everything. It's definately NOT like riding a bike...

Response to Canadian Club 2005-10-29 00:03:12

Oh god. The Canucks got fucking raped last night. $13 just to watch us go down 6-2. We outplayed the Avalanche significantly in the third period (shots were 16-0 at one point), but a 6-1 deficit was just a bit too much to overcome. Oh well, hopefully they'll pull themselves together for tomorrow's rematch.

That'll all change.... Or it won't....

FIGURE SKATING?!?!? FOR A GUY (if that is what you really are...)?!?!?

That's exactly why I hated it! Actually my brother and sister both took figure skating when they were young too, so I guess my parents felt it was necessary.

Boy's skates = hockey skates? Yea they are kinda different, you have to use the T-shape push-off more. I haven't touched a skate for like 6 years now, so I wouldn't know how I would fare.

Obviously not with the 8-0 whooping they got last night. :D
Habs didn't do too well either, but atleast they came back in the third for a brief period of time...

Nope. Especially that I don't live in Ontario. There are the university games I could go to, but I'm too lazy.

You got that right dude. My place is pretty nice compaired to other peoples apartments. I guess it would compare with most 1 bedroom Canadian apartments.
I also don't pay too much about $700

I am not too sure. I always think of coming home but then I never do it. I have been here 2 years and I miss our home and native land very much. I can't decide when to come back or where to go back to.

Lol, are you fluent in Japanese then? If you were to come back then it would mean you would have to find another job too.

Well not really fluent. I guess enough to get by. Getting by for me is ordering beer, food, women and finding out where the toilet is =)
Yeah I would need to get a new job if I went back home. I have heard the job market is shit. I am originally from Victoriar but I am not sure I would go back there or not.

Is it true that only Canadians use the term 'hydo' referring to electricity?
