So you'll have to pay them back when you get back?

Before I left Canada I racked up a huge phone bill and cable bill. . . I owe over $3000.

How in Canadian hell could you get that much on your bill?!

Seriously dude...did you have a girlfriend that lived halfway around the world? Interest from not paying them over and over again?

Yes you are right I called almost everyday to Japan. That was so expensive.
As for the hydro bill I have no idea why it is so expensive. No It's not because of grow-ops. I am a good boy =)
I forgot to mention shaw cable. It was a combination of Hydro, Telus(cell phone too)
and Shaw cable. Its not like I just left town and f-ed off without paying.
Its kinda a long story.

Its just something that the old people like to complain about. Besides, his game and movie are coming out in Canada, which I would think both promote gun violence even moreso.

Response to Canadian Club 2005-11-24 22:29:54

Meh. I'm completely indifferent. I've never understood the '50 cent' craze...
Not much of a rap fan. At all. Don't even get me started on French rap....

Canada shouldn't block fiddy from entering Canada. . . . we need more postitive black role models in Canada. All we got is Maestro Fresh Wes. . . . oh baby =)

Don't get me started on Asian rap. Think William Hung, but much much worse.

Response to Canadian Club 2005-11-26 21:44:41

I say don't let fiddy in, but that probably just stems from my intense loathing of him. Still, he's played one Canadian show so far and somebody was shot to death outside afterwards; that certainly can't be good for his chances.

I guess I'll join. I'm in Canada, at least until the end of the school year. And I drink Labatt Blue when I'm in the States.

"I disagree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it" and all that good shit. Still, he has a criminal record and, therefore, can not enter the country without first being granted a pardon. Taking into account his apparent stance on gun violence and all of the recent gun violence in Toronto, I doubt he'll be granted said pardon.

Hey, I'm from Erinsville, Ontario. I'd like to join. I've been going to Newgrounds for the past couple of months, and I need a decent reason to post on the BBS.

Knowing the music industry, 50 cent is harmless. As soon as somebody appears on MTV or Much Music, they're already off the streets, making money, and living like a rich kid. He may have record, but mainstream music would never popularize somebody with real teeth.

Is it only in Scarborough, or has it branched out? It's probably only gang shootings (at least I hope so...). I don't like to hear such things when I'm probably going to be moving to TO for the summer.

Hell, I live next the most dangerous metro station in Montreal (I think it has the most stabbings/shootings, plus the police are ALWAYS there). I don't really care because I ignore the gangs and mind my own business. My brother's friend though was an idiot and got mixed up with one of the gang members, then got his throat cut (just the skin, not the aorta or vein). The point being: I don't think these shootings make TO more dangerous. Mind your own business and you're fine.

Yes I would agree with that. They don't usually bother you unless you bother them.
If you want to find trouble it is close by but it is best to keep your nose clean.

While that is true for the most part, there are still plenty of completely random attacks. Just a few months ago a kid was killed at King George skytrain station in Surrey. He was at the bus loop and two people just started chasing him then threw him down the stairs; he eventually died from the injuries he sustained from the fall. Story here. There were a few other incidents there as well and Translink eventually hired on a few full time security guards for the station.

My bro is moving to downtown TO for a job. I doubt he'll get into that gang crowd. But is TO really that dangerous compared to other big cities?

Here in London, its mostly knifing, hardly any gun fights.

At 11/27/05 05:46 PM, LittleMissVixen wrote: And where-abouts in TO are you thinking about moving to? =)

I don't actually know yet. Depends if I get the job first....

It just seems really violent to the localish people though as of late because it never used to be that bad.

Well, more people in the area means more people to disagree with, sooooo more violence is to be expected.

At 11/27/05 05:54 PM, Wylo wrote: Here in London, its mostly knifing, hardly any gun fights.

And that makes you feel safer? In my mind, knifing is a much more random act than a gun fight.

Sure it does. You'd be more afraid of a person with a gun than a person with a knife. And knife fights are much more fun to watch.

That's awful. Every time I've travelled, I've always met people who really want to go to Canada to see the falls. They're nice, but everything around it is so ugly and Americanized that I'm almost ashamed to call it Canadian.

Good point. Is this the main entertainment in London, Ontario? Haha.

Damn that is scary shit but that station has had problems before. Surrey and the lovely city of Whalley are full of assualts.

Hey, fellow Soviet Canuckistanis!

How goes?! I guess I should start out by introducing myself. I'm one of those semi-earnest disco nationalists that Will Ferguson drones on about. So, I got that goin' for me, which is nice. I'm also working on a series that defies description, but I'll tell you one thing. It's very Canadian and currently only in script form.
(This is my subtle way of saying, "Need Animator, probably Canadian!")
