Shower hands down for me.
Sitting in a tub of my own dirt doesn't appeal.

I've been taking baths for as long as I can remember and will not be changing any time soon.
I refused to take a bath as a kid because I was afraid that there were worms in the water that would try to enter my body. I knew that it was illogical but it still scared me for some reason. Because of that I always took showers.
I doubt that it would effect me now but I haven't taken a bath in so long that the thought rarely crosses my mind.
But you're not sitting in a tub of your own dirt, not unless you've just been on some obstacle course and are literally covered in mud. Then you'd either have a long shower, or 2 baths, or a shower and a bath I imagine.
I much prefer baths. I can relax in them and read or listen to the radio and they just soothe me. And when I come out of one I smell simply fabulous thank you very much.
I've always taken showers.
Never took a bath in my life.
Bathtubs are made for suiciding in, and they're boring.

I like to take my time when doing either, so showers are nice on particularly cold days when I want the water to stay nice and warm. It's also easier to reach any part of your body when you're already standing up. But if I have time to relax, I opt for a bath.

Soaking in a little tub of water and grime is pretty disgusting to me. I'm ocd about cleanliness.

Baths are better but showers are less time consuming and generally just easier to do.
If you've got time off work/college/school/whatever then baths are really good
I like baths, but much prefer to take one after a shower, that way I'm more or less just enjoying a tub of hot water.
I hardly make time for baths, I could go for one, maybe I'll have one now.
Bath.
"oh but you are lying in your own filth, you don't get rid of the dirt, it's disgusting."
Boo fucking hoo. Baths are comfortable, relaxing and clean you, deal with it.
I knew you were going to list "sitting in a tub of my own dirt" as your reason for not taking baths. You people are all the same.
If you take a bath when you're covered in dirt when you could just take a shower, you're a dumbass. Baths are excellent for loosening tense muscles, temporarily relieving headaches, and just relaxing, but if you're dirty, take a shower.
Shower for cleaning, bath for relaxing. I do both on a pretty regular basis and I even take a real quick shower after each bath just to rinse off good.
Depends on my mood. But I rarely take a bath, since I don't have access to any bathtubs. I only have a shower at my apartment.
I like taking a bath instead of showering. Too bad we only have showers :)
shower, of course.
taking baths is not an effective way of cleaning your body, something you should know if you know some chemistry. if you don't, google partition coefficient. also, filling up the bathtub wastes a lot of water (compared to taking short showers)
you should always take showers unless it is freezing cold.
I'm a shower kinda girl, but I must say I do enjoy a bath every now and then if I'm in the mood. More relaxing.

epic win
Taking a shower is cleaner and uses less water, so I generally prefer that to baths.
Plus regular baths still remind me of the ice baths I used to take back when I raced, and those were so goddamn painful.
shower. But an occasional bath is nice.

If you take a shower for more than 5 or 10 minutes (I cant remember which) then neither of those are true.

Same here.
Sitting in a tub of my own dirt doesn't appeal.
I agree; the closest thing I'll come to a bath is a nice soak in a hot tub. :P
.
I much prefer showers for the quicker time getting in and ou. I'll take the odd bath if I feel like it, though.
If I have the time I prefer taking baths, because it's simply much more relaxing than showering. I rarely take baths though since it just takes a lot longer and it's impractical to take a bath early in the morning before I head out. A shower is much easier and quicker. Also, it's too bad I don't have a bath tub in my apartment, nor a proper bathroom for that matter.
