These two are long overdue. Hell, the fact that Deep Purple made one of the most iconic riffs of all time and only got a shot at this just now is pretty sad. I'll be content as long as either of them make it next year.

I'd still query about Iron Maiden but the fact that Rush and Deep Purple are likely to be inducted next year is pleasing enough. I was disappointed enough they had Guns N' Roses this year but this so far is almost making me forget that.

The Rn'R Hall of Fame is a joke. I don't even pay attention to most classic rock anymore, but there is so much influential material being tossed out the window to make way for bands that deserve none of this.

They probably vote based on what they hear on shitty classic rock radio. If you give a band more of a listen than the same 4-6 hit songs, you'll find them to be a whole different band, with so much better music. Rush is a huge example of this.
