iOS games are made with objective-c, you'll need a mac and a $100 developer certificate before you can even start developing. Alternatively you could make the apps with Flash CS5, but you still need the $100 certificate.

It's not the actual price that's the problem, it's just having to bother paying with the various obstacles depending on what country you're from. I heard apple wanted someone to fax them his credit card information for verification.
Anyway, I would have assumed iOS only supported specific languages. Or at least, writing it natively in objective-c is the only practical method (with, for example, flash being horribly slow to run). Could you please elaborate on that?
