4.17 / 5.00 16,129 ViewsI got for Christmas one of those fancy pen tablets, and this is my first draw with it. I know I still need to get used to it, and I hope I can make stuff with smoother lines in the future.
I'm still trying my new new wacom bamboo tablet and I'm slowly getting used to it.

This is asking for a new self-portrait.
FIRST POST OF 2013!
I made a background to my Superman picture, because I'm super bored. Anyway, do you think I should submit it to the art portal?

Submit away. Looks good. I like the colors you chose for the background as well as the texture you used for it.
The shading is a little off on the nose and mouth. All of your other shadows have the light source coming from the right whereas the nose and mouth have it coming from up above.
This may just be because you're getting used to your tablet but the lines could use some more care. The variation in line thickness seems arbitrary in places, and some of them don't seem carefully placed such as the nose and the ears. The nice thing about vector art is that you can edit your lines after you make them without having to erase at them or redraw them entirely.
Otherwise solid piece. I'm a big fan of simple vector art. The often-risky dead center, front facing position works well here, giving it a strong, intense composition.

I fixed some stuff here and there; but like you said I'm just getting used to work with the tablet and the brush tool, so the lines look sloppy, my goal is to make smoother lines; and definitely shading is my worst enemy; I've read tons of tutorials about it, but I can't yet fully grasp it. Thanks for all the advice, I'll keep practicing both, the lines and the shading.

Doodles of me and my friends (ok, I admit it, Batman and Harvey Dent are not my friends......yet.....)
I think you should stick to the sketchbook for a while. I know you use vector programs mostly but I think that if you were to focus on the sketchbook you could improve on your characters form and shape faster, get past the kind of flat look they all seem to have. Lately I've been seeing a lot of busts from you, which is fine but you're not going to get better with the bodies without practice.
I do like your super man portrait thing. Its got a nice mix of your style and more "correct" anatomy.
Art Thread. Art Page.
Shut up and draw something.
A very good marked style in your drawns, i like very much the heisenberg fanart

I did a lot of DC characters in the past, so here's something Marvel for a change.
