Certainly better than the redneck facial hair of previous London meetage. I like it. Also your sig kinda syncs up nicely with that photo.

3" soul patch (is that what the kids call them these days?) and 34 DDs Nice.

And I would do the same but no one wants to see my facial hair.

Then I'll be generous - take mine and photoshop it onto you.

I could spike it - that would possibly be dangerous, as I'd get my head stuck to the head liner on my car's ceiling.

Honestly, you look like an upside-down Mr. T.

As per usual, I'm curious what facial hair Bezman plans to bring to the stage.

I should book my trains tickets tonight so the price isn't stupidly extortionate by tomorrow.

What hotel is everyone staying at? Is it the 'Manchester Central' Premier Inn, 7-11 Lower Mosley Street?

I plan to come on Thursday with Diana coming for friday night. She's an excellent person. I might just book the local hostel, since that looks like the cheapest option - £15 per night. I'm tempted to get a double-room but that looks to be nearly £40pp/night... Any tips?

Anyways, our coach tickets are booked, leaving 5pm Sunday.

You cannot compete with Bezman!
Of course, but I can still do my own thing, on the off-chance that he shaves :P

Nah, like you I'm keeping to a tradition of a different chin each time. I already came clean-shaven once. :-p

I'd be interested to try some Hungarian food... I've tried Goulash but nothing else that I know of... Chinese is probably something loads of folk would go for - safe and familiar. But I'm sure we can persuade folk to give something new a try... Do you have any pics to tempt us? ;-)

Damn, now have work so rather than joining people thursday after beer festival, will have to go to beer festival later than intended and miss your cocktail bar thing or wherever the fuck it is you're going that evening. What a pisser.

I think the majority of us are bunking in the Printworks Premier Inn. But there is usually 2 or 3 where people tend to group up, but there will definitely be a lot of us at the Printworks for sure as thats the one I have been paying attention to.

I plan to come on Thursday with Diana coming for friday night. She's an excellent person. I might just book the local hostel, since that looks like the cheapest option - £15 per night. I'm tempted to get a double-room but that looks to be nearly £40pp/night... Any tips?

2 nights as a double room at the premier inn is around £128, split between 2 people is 64 for the 2 nights, so it's not to expensive and it is secure and likely also contain us pratting about playing junglespeed etc to the early hours of the morning not bothering to go back to our rooms, will miss such things if you didn't bunk up at the same areas as others :p

But if you are spliting the cost of the room with Diana then it would be about £32 a night each, so it isnt to expensive compared to hostels of £15, it depends how tight money is really for you, I personally prefer to spend a little more to be sure the place is good.

Oh also on that note, shit junglespeed again, how exactly is anyone meant to beat Bez in that game?

Yeah, that was my first meet - one day I may have to come with Victorian-era Mutton Chops

That's what's left of the point from the August meet - I literally just clipped the sides from the goatee and levelled out the point, so it's a chinhawk, or mohawk on my chin.

Actually, I only came 5th in the World Championships... Grant (Black-Ops) beat me and he'll be in Manchester.

I might bring a card game base on bluffing that I bought recently and still not had a chance to play. May also bring Bohnanza, a brilliant trading game.

Incidentally, Grant says that there is a deal going on in a YH for £10 beds but you can only book a maximum of 3 folk. But I'll ask him to post the deal here in a minute and we can book individually. :-)

P.S. Boggle would be far, far preferable to Uno. I hate the endgames that drag on. And whilst it's statistically very improbably, it's probably possible to have a never-ending game.

Sorry Ben. I'll try anything twice but that's my limit. :-p

Response to Manchester Meet 2012 2012-01-14 11:21:02

I have an interesting little game. Well it's less of a game and more of a "Which unfortunate sod will this device chose to give an electric shock?" thing. Fun times!

On topic, work's being an arse with shifts despite booking tickets, hopefully can sort a workaround or just fuck it off and quit. Need to get a proper one anyway.

Got my travel and accomodation sorted. If anyone is looking for some last minute cheap deal on accomodation then Hatters on Newton Street is pretty great. Me and Bez are paying £48 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, and price includes a light breakfast each morning. It's also about a 10 minute walk away from the Manchester Wheel so it's pretty close to where all the action will be! Room is a 10 bed dorm, but having a couple of other NG users there should take the awkwardness out of it for you.

http://hattersgroup.com/manchester/manch ester-hostels/contact-hatters-hostel-new ton-manchester/

Only problem was I couldn't find the discount box on the online form, so you're better off booking over the bananaphone and quoting "£10 bed offer" to ensure you get your cheap room for Thursday (apparently it doesn't work for Friday or Saturday night, da fuq?).

http://hattersgroup.com/uk/winter-promot ion-10-beds/

I'll see you all there!

But you won't see me.
