NG, i was just thinking, many of the users here are 13-14 year olds. Do you think they will be the next generation users of ng? Will you stop coming here as you age, or will you stick it out?
pure curiosity

I don't see myself intentionally leaving any time soon. The only reason I can foresee that I would become inactive would be if I got caught up with work and school. But, I don't see that happening for a few years, not until I go off to college.
Probably before I even go to college, hell I could stop coming here next year.

Not sure, doubt it... Been here for five years already.
This place will always be full of 13 year olds.
and cock jokes.
GROW UP????
Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad men
Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders we're getting in tune
The music's played by the madman
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever young
Too many 13-year-olds that don't know the difference between "you're" and "your."
>_<

Yeah, I hope to be one of those people, but not forever.
Probably not, this website is different from others...
That's my only reason, but a good one, eh?

I'm that lazy bastard who doesn't bother to take down his damn Christmas lights. I still have the fucking kriss-kringle hats from last year!
I'm in college, so I should really get the fuck out of this place. Maybe after I move to California, I'll get a life that's interesting enough to get me to stop coming here. But that's probably at least a year off.
Most of the kids here will probably leave within a year. Most of the rest will probably stay for five or six years.
But anyway, I don't plan on spending too much time here.
Even though I have only been on less then a month, I think I will stay.
Dreams with the concept of prosperity and happiness are premonitions, only then you can decide next.

You say that now.. Good luck not getting sucked in.
LOL
This isn't a matter of growing out of it.
More or less it's about maturing out of it. If one day you find you don't need to escape to NG and talk the only people you used to feel like you could relate to, then you leave.
As for me I enjoy the community and conversation too much to worry about something like that right now. Though I will not be here forever, once the people I like leave, there may not be much reason to stay.
But, who am I to judge what the future brings.

Haha it's quite possible.
I don't really like the place I've been posting at for the last four years anymore, so I might be splitting my time between here and Giant Bomb for a while.
I had an account here at NG a while back, but I couldn't remember the log in email for some reason :\. I had only posted about twenty-five times, though.
So yeah... I guess I wouldn't be surprised if I still saw myself here in a year or so.

Stop being so selfish and think about the rest of us for a change!

Poor Alaska. Don't be sad little guy!

I think leaving because you think you don't like the people here is kind of unreasonable.
If you don't like people they most likely do nothing but troll on general.
There's the Clubs and other forums that are much more civil and sometimes a lot more fun
Albeit less epic
I plan to stay here for as long as possible. So that the users later on will see me as a sort of reminder of the glorious past.
I've been coming here since I was 8.. I doubt it.
im 19.. and im still here.. .. the majority of people leave in the first days, a small majority get to a year or 2 and then quit for good, a really really small portion of thise people last as long as i do, and the smallest part of that section continue on to the point that they are 25 or older and still going here.
I might have a decrease in activity, but I'll never outgrow this place.
The redesign happened, now my signature doesn't match anymore.
So are the majority of people here really 13?
>_<
That might make me leave...
I personally am starting to use it less, but then I keep crawling back. My God its like New Grounds has become like a drug.
Yea, I can see myself stopping coming here eventually.
Oh I'm sure 80% of the eligible users in this thread will, and 95% of users who don't post in this will not stay active.
As for me; hah, no. If that happens something horrifying has happened in my life.
I wish I was PaintSplat's. alt. account.
I've been a member for a long time, i'm 23 now and enjoy the site just as much as I did when I first joined.
When I was in middle and high school I thought I was gonna quit when I started college, I'm currently in College and haven't quit yet. Maybe when I sart working, making money, being really busy, having a more interesting life in general I'll probably quit.
I expect to last AT LEAST 2-3 more years.
