Too old for Newgrounds?

I've been thinking. Primarily about how much of this website's fanbase is made up of stupid 12-year-olds who are only here for jack-off material, and can't figure out how to get past the parental controls on their family computers to get on any real porn websites. And how much I hate every last one of them.

Thing is, I get the feeling that Newgrounds was, and still is, primarily for kids (albeit perverted ones) to enjoy. There's a lower age limit (which no-one pays any attention to, but whatever), but I'm starting to wonder if there's some kind of implicit 'upper' age limit too.

Does anyone agree? How old, do you think, is too old to be finding Newgrounds interesting anymore? At 22 years old, should I still be here? I know we have many NG regulars who are over 25, but let's face it, they're in a tiny minority by comparison to all the under 18's (particularly under 15's) here.

Or am I just talking bollocks again? Discuss.

Dude, Poozy's like 32. Tom Fulp, the CREATOR, is 28, is married, and has a child, and still has time for Newgrounds. This site isn't like Webkins, or Club Penguins, or Neopets. You can't really get "too old" for this stuff. Too mature, maybe, but, not too old.

Yeah, there's nothing outright 'wrong' with staying here for however long you want; that's the whole point of an entertainment website like this. What I'm thinking about is, why is it still entertaining for me, knowing that I've been here for damn near 8 years now (ignore the signup date, this is my second account and I didn't even sign up at all for the first couple of years).

I was here at 14, like most of the people here now. What I find curious is the fact that I'm still here, when 99% of everyone else has since gotten bored and left already. What is it about me and this website? Is the reason I keep coming back here (whatever it may be) actually a valid reason at all?

I suppose this would work a lot better if I could remember what the original reason I came here for was, and if still stands as a good reason. Sometimes I feel like I'm just here for sheer lack of anything else to do.

I want to visit Newgrounds because it has the most beautiful flash movies/series and games of the internet.
Other sites are not simple like Newgrounds and do not have some of the feature Newgrounds have

Oh please. You're never too old to enjoy some of the best flash talent on the internet. Just because those 13 year olds are the nosiest one on the site doesn't mean that there are no older users here. Just check out the poll that Tom did last June and you'll see that. You just need to stop hanging out in General so much.

Because it's always updating, changing, new people, new fun. It's not all the same stuff, so why shouldn't you keep enjoying yourself?

Also thanks to reverend for posting that poll Tom did. I completely forgot about that and like everyone else I was surprised at the amount of over 18 users NG has. I suppose NG just has a reputation as being full of 13 years old but actually it's not that bad. We just seem to like to put this site down a lot =P

You have to remember that the poll Tom created was open for the entire NG community, not just the BBS. The BBS is really a tiny part of the site, traffic-wise, so while the younger members of the site seem to flock here, most of the older users are put-off by the immaturity here and tend to remain in the other parts of the site (Collections, Games, Portals, etc).

So, while 30-something percent of the users who filled out that poll are 18-24, I assume that a large percentage of those users are here for the animations, art or music and rarely post on the BBS.

I mean, just look at who the "biggest names" as far as flash-contribution, audio and art goes - sure there are alot of young talents, but there's also shitload over 20 y.o.
