If you want Rayquaza, you need both. The only way to get one is through trading.

This is why I'm going to catch Kyogre in Emerald and migrate it to SoulSilver. Then again, I already have Rayquaza in Emerald so I might as well migrate him as well. My Emerald save isn't as valuable as my Sapphire save to me so I'm willing to take all the Pokemon from there.

Grass is quite possibly the worst type to use against dragon-type Pokemon. Get a Pokemon who can learn an ice move. I used Feraligatr who knew Ice Fang and he took down most of them with ease.

I would migrate my Kyogre from Sapphire too, but I feel that's kind of cheating. I'll do that when I am finished with the game completely, but I'd rather do everything the hard way. Just seems more satisfying.

Almost got all 3 original Eevee evolutions, and I've got the other two. I'll need to get someone with D/P/Pt to get the final two evolutions of Eevee though. D: Currently I'm leveling up my Cronchkrow and getting it's Speed to a higher stat and whatnot.

For the next 2 hours (roughly) i'll be able to trade for once. So, if anyone can help me to get golem, machamp, gengar and alakazam i'd be very grateful. I've got all 4 ready so if anyone can trade all 4 back and forth with me that'd help.

Also, anyone have a chikorita and totodile they're willing to trade? Just post what you want to trade them for. I'm not fussed if they're in an egg or not. However I would prefer them to be low levelled.

I know my team is crap, I raped the first 3 with Lugia and Feraligatr but the 4th ones Houndoom with its Sp. Att rose sharply and killed Lugia and Feraligatr in one hit so had to keep using medical herbs

If you caught the red gyarados at the lake of rage (if not, catch a magikarp/gyarados), it learns Ice Fang at level 32, which is super effective against dragons.

Or alternatively you can get a dratini from the Game Corner in goldenrod city, and then level that up, dragon moves are also super effective against dragons. But obviously it's got a weakness against the gym as well.

Kyogre and Groudon HAVE to have been caught in Soul Silver and Heart Gold to get the Jade Orb for Rayquaza, no exceptions.

That's what I did, but unfortunately the Kyogre has to be from the tower. That's why I was annoyed. I went to Professor Oak with the Groudon from the tower and a Kyogre from saphire and he didn't accept it.

Training seems harder in those games, but as always I do love the Pokemon games (: Whitney has always been one of the strongest gym leaders.. but that's just my opinion. Het Milktank.. BAAAW!

Crap...I should have known they wouldn't have made it that easy to get Jade Orb for Rayquaza. I guess it'll be borrowing a Kyogre off someone whenever I need to catch Rayquaza. Still, I could just migrate the one from Emerald but I still like to catch one in SoulSilver.

I haven't raised an Umbreon since gen II, when it's move pool was very limited. Espeon was definitely the better choice back then.
