As much as a dick that I might sound, well.... sux2bu. It's not easy for everyone to get to london, grant and keiren took a 9 hour coach ride for example, and Manchester still has excellent traffic links, it's not like it's the middle of the highlands or north wales or anything. There are no doubt lots of people from manc area that haven't gone to the london meets because they're too far away, you don't have to go to everything ever.
If it's going to be either a prohibitively long or expensive journey, no-one's forcing you to go.

Besides, don't forget that train and coach aren't the only option. It's about £70+ but you can get a 1 hour plane from norwich to manchester, there are a couple each day.

I was starting to wonder if you were going to make a news post or not. I don't care if it's been covered already, it'd be great if you told us about the meet from your experiences. To be honest, I was hoping for around 15 people or more to write about their time at the meet but I've only come across around half of my expectations.

I find the north west to be pretty convenient. The national rail services are excellent and the fact that it only takes 2 1/4 hours to go from Liverpool to London amazes me. Still, somewhere like Manchester is more than good for me as I've gone there many times on the train so I'm well used to it.
