Yes that is ok to use and have some fun with it.

I'm not sure about Idiot-buster or any of the other judges, but I could care less. I think I can pretty much say that it can be anyone famous.

But I would say that including who you are writing about, as well as what kind of poem it is is probably the most convenient for us.

Crap meant to post it here hah
Enjoy, comments please :D

From an octopus' garden,
To Lucy in the sky,
From strawberry fields,
To apple rooftops on high.

Their ups and downs,
Walrus and all,
The might writers,
Lennon/McCartney, John/Paul.

Guitarist George,
A death unplanned,
Poor drummer Ringo,
Not even best in the band.

From small dark Cavern,
To zebra on street,
And Paul is "dead",
Cos there's no shoes on his feet.

All the stories,
The infamous tales,
Only ever fuelled,
Their gigantic sales.

The Beatles themselves,
Greatest band in the world,
From humble beginnings,
Majesty unfurled.

I worked so hard on my submission. I really hope I get some sort of recognition. If not, oh well. At least I tried.

So, I think this is a dumb question. But we're limited with what we write about? I mean, we need to write about a certain person, artists or groups, or I didn't get the description correctly?

I got a bit confused with the rules, but I really want to take part.

You have to write about someone famous. Basically it's limited to you writing about someone who is well known in some form of media, be it TV, music, etc.

I just wrote a piece earlier tonight. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to look at it again and make changes. After that I'll let my friends take a look for a few days. Hopefully I can submit by the 29th or 30th.

I decided to do a free verse about Freddie Mercury. Rhyming can be fun, but I find that it really limits my word choice.

Attention!

After today there are only 5 days left in the contest. There have only been 17 entrys, a low amount for the usual MWC. I hope to see some more come in during the final days.

LOOK HERE!

There is only 2 days left. I encourage if you want to make something to do so. There have only been a few submissions and think that it could be much better.

MAKE SOMETHING!

Did the contests before have more submissions? If so, then this contest isn't that big.

Yes. So far by number of entries this contest has been pretty slim, but I can't say for sure because the writing threads generally had several two or three part posts.

And on a side note, I've started judging most of the entries and I'll likely have the judging done pretty promptly after the thread is done.

The last word of my poem, should be the word "faith" not "fate" Sorry for this mistake, sometimes I get confused.

I thought that the deadline was tonight at midnight?? D: Was is yesterday?

Also, after trying 3 or 4 different styles of poetry and getting absolutely nowhere, I've decided to submit a haiku which suddenly came to me over the course of my shower last night. I like it, at least.

Still need to play around with a few of the words, but I should have it submitted shortly.
